Woah, wow. This is 1000% relevant to my field of work. Will it stay the same price for upcoming terms? I can't tell.

Also, how do courses at ACE work? Are they self-paced or semester schedule based?

I had applied on the last day possible because I only saw this here the day before applications would close. I sent my TESU transcript over the weekend after the admissions specialist needed more than the unofficial transcript I had sent with the application. I'm accepted and class started today, but I didn't get the student email log in information until after 4 PM. The Microsoft365 server doesn't recognize the new student account yet, but I'm hopeful that it will update overnight. I seem to remember such a last minute snafu from earlier in my online college timeline.

American College of Education uses Microsoft 365 for student emails and Office accounts and Canvas for the Learning Management System. I can check into MyACE account and see the 3 classes are enrolled:

They're continuing the tuition-free offer for the January 9 semester. The courses are synchronous, require message board posts and assignments each week, and each course has a 20-question multiple choice final exam that must be completed in a single 3-hour sitting.

The curriculum looks great, but the timing is absolutely awful for me. It can't be offered at $150 forever, and I can't justify paying ~$3k for it later.  Looks like this will be the one that got away.

Synchronous?!?  That's the worst!  I was considering it, but I just cannot do a synchronous course for whole semesters at a time.

To clarify, because I may have chosen my words poorly- there is a schedule of when assignments and exams are due, but there are no live lectures.

I generally think of synchronous as being the opposite of self-paced, but that might not be how others think of it.

Synchronous courses have live lectures that you must attend; asynchronous courses have lectures that are recorded and you can watch when you want.

Self-paced means there are no deadlines, or maybe a single deadline like "4 months" or "1 year" to complete a course.

Study.com, Sophia, and BYU-IS are all examples of self-paced courses.
