New University Candidates

I found some new universities that are currently coming to the end of their candidacy period. If their next evaluation goes well, there will be more universities that are accredited. Most of these are not online schools unfortunately. But, i think it's interesting to watch new universities and their growth. We never know when another major player enters the game with accredited degrees we'd love!

Hmmm. Williamson College of the Trades is moving on from accreditation by ACCSC. That agency has been under the USDE microscope lately. Looks like a prudent move for Williamson College. They are experienced with degree offerings, They offered Specialized Associates in various trade skills under ACCSC.

And Bethel College is already RA - HLC and they're now adding TRACS? Surely they're not switching? 
There's more to this list, than just schools taking up accreditation for the first time.

I think TRACS' phone lines have been VERY busy since the implosion of ACICS and the ongoing long, hard look at ACCSC. Possibly, they've also picked up some business from previously unaccredited schools through California's "Accredit or Die" legislation. 

Can't fault TRACS for not being ready to lend a hand. If there's ONE thing I really commend TRACS for, it's this: They accredited Morris Brown College in Georgia. Morris Brown was a 140-year-old HBCU in Atlanta, that foundered 20 years ago, when it lost its RA accreditation, in a financial scandal. The present administration overcame 20 years of deep decline under predecessors and TRACS accredited the school. A college with nearly a century and a half of history,  long  under siege, restored to its purpose of educating students. Thank you, TRACS. Thank you, the new officials and admin. team of Morris Brown! GO WOLVERINES!
