Oh and one other thing about Amberton. If you look on the website at each course description, you can see the syllabus for the last 2 sessions. The ones that have .E1 at the end are the online courses. I think ethics is the only one where you'll see .E1 and .E2 as there are 2 professors who teach ethics and they're very different. One is religious and one is philosophical. This helps with planning so you can get an idea of what work and books you'll need. The same professors don't teach every session for some classes so if you notice that you don't like the assignments professor x gives then you may want to avoid them. I have a few on my list like that because of the amount of work they assign. One professor requires YouTube presentations that are like 15 minutes for their classes which isn't something I want to do so I am trying to avoid that professor. You can't always avoid certain professors though.

So it is officially official lol. I have narrowed down 2 schools and 3 options total.
WGU: MBA or MSML
Amberton: MSHR&B
I decided not to get the Amberton MSPD because thr classes I'd choose to take will be only a few off from the MSHR&B.
So im between the 3 options above. At some point I will go back for a MBA because of personal/professional reasons. I do want to start with the easiest/fastest option for raise at work.
I'll be moving into an HR position in the future so the MSHR&B looks good, but it's also longer, but helps with not having to deal with proctoring which I hate. So many problems.
I keep hearing however the MSML is so fast and easily done in 6 months. I hear people choose this over the MBA because it's faster but I also hear it has more writing than thr MBA. I hate writing long papers. One person look like they wrote a total of 15-30 pages per paper. That's insane lol. So it has me looking at the MBA if it's more exam based.
I hate proctoring but I'll deal with it if needed.
I hat capstones lmbo. Money isn't a problem atleast for these options.
Help. I feel good I narrowed it to two schools and 3 programs but still seem like so much.

I also debated the MSML and MBA from WGU. The proctoring was a HUGE turnoff due to the issues I had already experienced with Examity. I wasn't willing to put myself through that again.
Yes, the Amberton degree will take longer, but it is focused on your future career. I also believe you'll get far more out of it and learn more. You'll also have breaks which is really nice! You'll get holidays off. We get a 2 week break for Christmas. There's nothing stopping you from doing coursework over the break, but it's really nice to know that we will be on break. In CBE programs, there are no breaks technically. I feel like I'm getting a lot out of my Amberton courses. I'm thankful that there are no proctors. I also like that many of the courses aren't the typical courses you find in most business programs.

I prefer exams because I'm not the best writer.

The papers vary dramatically from professor to professor. You can see the most current syllabus for each course on the Amberton website. Sometimes professors do change so the coursework may changed, but you get to see what you're in for before you sign up for a class. In my 6 classes, I've had 1 class with an open book exam. Don't think that an open book exam is easy. The first one took me over 8 hours. The second one took me 3 hours. Other professors have time limits on exams. I have a class coming up this fall that has 2 65 minute exams which has me nervous, but the syllabus says we should study the PowerPoint he provides for the exam. The other professor just told us it was on the chapters we read.....we read like 10 chapters in 2 different books.

I appreciate that you are arguing in favor of your current school. At the same time, this is a strange way to characterize a CBE program like WGU. I agree that a break for the holidays is nice, although WGU is completely flexible about how you pace yourself and when you take time off. It's not just a little flexible; it's 100% flexible. A student can take a month off or two months off - or five - during the six-month term. Plus you can take breaks between terms. And of course, there are no schedules or deadlines. Clearly these are huge advantages over programs that are not self-paced, so saying that CBE programs have "no breaks" is quite a stretch. There are definitely arguments to be made against WGU, but this is not one of them.

Look, I have 2 CBE degrees. At WGU, the session is 6 months long. You cannot take a break for a month or two or five. You have to make progress and login at least once every 21 days or you're kicked out. There are no specific set breaks in CBE programs. You can take breaks, but you have to remember to login and make some progress every few weeks. I'm seeing lots of people not do this on social media and they freak out because they are on the verge of being kicked out.

There are some courses that have long papers (I avoided them, other than the required research course) - most of those courses that do (in my experience) are scheduled as a build up and quite clear to that fact in the syllabus. It makes it much easier to write a long paper, it's not you have two weeks for 25-30 pages, it is more this week and next work on pages 1-5, and so on. You may have seen that I have switched from the MA-PD to the same degree you're interested in the MS-HR&B ( https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...oices-Poll), so I speak from experience when I say you will have plenty of options that best fit your goals towards completion. Two of my transferred in courses were from WGU (MS-ITM, I was already too familiar with the subject matter so I got bored and slacked on speed getting courses completed); WGU still a great option for many - but wasn't for me. What I liked about Amberton is that I was able to take courses that interested me (I gained new knowledge) vs being told what I needed to take (even if I had no true interest in the topic - well, other than the two required grad courses)
