It's super easy, you just need to do the weekly reading and quizzes. The final questions are from the quizzes as well. If you want a free one for your degree, I highly recommend this one. It costs like 10 bucks to transfer so it's a $10 3 credits upper-level class.
Is the course not graded? Pass/fail? Sophia and Study are both pass/fail and are transferable to UMPI. A letter grade isn't required but it does have to be a for credit course with a letter/numeric grade or pass/fail to transfer to UMPI.

Now I want to be a gamecock! And I want that shirt!!!!
The class says it’s A-synchronous, at your own pace. How long are these classes taking people to knock out? Might be worth doing it, just to “earn my cock shirt.”

Well the classes are asynchronous but they only unlocked one module per week in the spring class. I never want to say a college course is easy but..... I mean that thing was EEEEEEAAAAAAASSSSSSSYYYYYYYY. Unlimited attempts on the quizzes. Needed only 60% to pass and get credit. I think you had three attempts on the final. No proctoring or anything to bog it down. Hosted on Canvas. You get a student email and full access to all the university platforms.
Just sleepwalked right through it for the easiest 3 credit hours of my life. I hope the fall class is like that, but I highly recommend the JSU Try It Free. Trying to enroll my stepkids into the fall offering. Btw, JSU Gamecocks are going to play South Carolina Gamecocks in football this fall. So it'll be the first-ever Cock Bowl! I'm looking forward to it.

I think it ran a full semester. It's been deleted from canvas so I can't look back to make sure but I want to say the modules all opened in something like 7 weeks.... And then once you complete all the modules you pretty much had to wait until the end of the semester for them to finally unlock the final exam. And that's only open for like a few days' window. So after you get past the point you're not coming back to the class each week it would be really easy to forget about it and miss the window. Definitely put some kind of Google calendar or phone calendar reminder to go back and check and do the final to make sure you don't forget it.

We sometimes call Williams-Brice the “cockpit” even.
Yes, those of us from the Midlands have heard it all before.

This is a good find and yes some of the classes may not fill all areas but another unique avenue for different credits, and sometimes UL.

Curious about the claim that it won't transfer to UMPI? It's a Pass/Fail.
I was hoping it would count as RA hours for Pierpont, too.
Either way, I've signed up for the new" INS 205 Making Sense of a Complex World" because I genuinely enjoyed "SW 306 Stress, Coping, & Resilience." Each module was taught by a different department, the variety of teaching styles was interesting. The most interesting part to me was the discussion that included information on the interviews with former enslaved people, stored at the Library of Congress. Hearing those narratives directly from those who went through it, their experiences after the Civil War, was fascinating. I've spent hours since reading more of them.

How long does it take for application and approval? I just might want to give them a try, I think I passed on the last few freebies as I had a bit on my plate... but now that I have a little more time, I wouldn't mind taking another course or two.

I applied over the weekend (Sunday) and on Monday they reached out and had everything pretty much setup. I transferred my transcripts from WVUP on Monday, and by Tuesday they had notified me I had a completed application.
On Friday morning, I got my acceptance notification and welcome email with credentials. Everyone I talked with there was very pleasant and helpful.
There was a small mix-up that they were waiting on the $35 application fee, and when we cleared that up that I was only doing the "Try It" free course they moved quickly to finish my enrollment. It probably would have gone faster but I didn't email them during the work day and only replied to their messages after hours. It shows me as enrolled in the course in my portal now.
