Since Sophia is only 3 credits, I would guess it'll come in as MAT-102 if it's accepted. Chemistry will probably be either CHE-101 or CHE-104 without lab.
is there a way to get the lab separately somewhere so we can use this course in our degree?
Which school are you going to? Because you don't need a lab science at most. TESU doesn't require a lab science. UMPI requires that your lab and science course be from the same school/provider. So it depends on where you're going as to whether this will be a viable option or not. I am working on a degree from TESU, for the BS in Information Technology my academic advisor gave me a list that included this as one of the requirements:
B: Chem/Phys II 4SH (Not started)
Chemistry II or Physics II - w/Lab
*must earn grades of C or better
For TESU Chemistry and Physics course options, go to
CHE-122 General Chemistry II with Lab
PHY-116 Physics II with Lab
When I asked her about it, she led me to think I needed sciences with a lab.
Ah - yes, for that particular degree, you must take Chem I & II w/Labs or Physics I & II w/Labs. This Sophia course will not work, you have to take a Chem course that comes in as CHE-111, and this course will only come in as CHE-101.
You also can't take Study.com's Chem w/lab courses, unfortunately. Not sure why TESU decided this, as they are supposed to be fairly rigorous. You CAN take the Physics I & II courses, and then take the labs at TESU though. They're 1cr courses, so $519 each, and then an additional amount for the actual labs.
SL's Chem I course w/lab also won't work. I don't think the Physics w/lab works either, although I could be wrong on that one. You'd have to check.

General Physics I and Lab on SL (PHY-115 at TESU) would work, but you'd still need to get Physics II with Lab.

Yes, now I see that you can take Gen Physics I w/Lab at SL. You could then take Physics II at SDC, then take the Physics II lab at TESU. Pricy, but that's the cheapest combo I think. ($99 for a month of SL membership + $69 for the course + $49 for the lab + $155 for the lab kit + $199 for 1 month of SDC + $519 for the lab at TESU + $121.89 for the lab kit at Hands-On Lab, for a total of $1211.89).
Another SLIGHTLY cheaper option is the same as above except subtract the Physics course (-$69) and take both at SDC in a single month (+0).
The other option is your local/in-state CC if you have decent prices there.
I checked our inexpensive CC's in NM, and Luna CC doesn't offer either course in an online format, NMJC doesn't either, and Clovis CC offers Chem I & II with labs online - but it will take you the fall and spring terms to do them. $1148 for both courses (chances are they will not accept the SL or SDC courses as a pre-req, so it might not be doable to take just Chem II w/lab, unfortunately, because then you'd only be paying $574 for Chem II.

I can confirm TESU takes Principles of Management as "MAN-301 Principles of Management". Right now it's in the Wiki as a probably. I got excited - UL Sophia!

Thanks for the info, I've added that to the wiki as well. Have you taken it already? Adding a review in the review thread would be great if you have! Especially in regards to how easy/difficult you found the Touchstone to be.

FYI, Intro to College Mathematics is NOT accepted by Pierpont toward the BoG degree. Learned that the hard way today. Asked them to review the course and everything and they confirmed their decision. Their assertion is that it aligns to a course they used to offer that doesn't count for credit, and that it doesn't align the 70% needed to any of their other current for-credit courses.
I'm trying to graduate in December and all I have left is 3 math or science credits. I've got half the ALEKS College Algebra course done at this point but that's slow-going. My best option might be to speed-run through Sophia's biology or chemistry course.
Current: WGU BS, Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (093/122 credits)
Done: Pierpont AAS, Board of Governors: Information Systems emphasis (awarded Dec 2022)
