Fascism is inherently a political/governmental stance. How is it fascist for a private company to require a vaccination as a condition of continued employment?
Don’t bother arguing this point. People of a certain persuasion LOVE the free market and the regulatory working of the invisible hand until they disagree with it. Then the free market is fascism.

One particular political party has pushed for decades for states to adopt at-will employment statutes and to strip away workers’ rights. Ironically, those same people are now railing against private companies’ rights to compel action on the part of their workers, lest they be fired—the very purpose of the legislation they fought to pass. This is America baby. This is the free market of labor. They can fire your ass if you don’t take that shot. If you don’t like it, you can get the HELL out.

Would it be fascist if a company said you must remain unvaccinated or you will be fired? What about a company that has social media policies, i.e., you're not allowed to post on social media about the company or your workplace? What about a company that has a dress code that prohibits facial piercings? What about a company that requires full-sleeve tattoos?

It is legal for companies to make employees have a vaccine as a requirement for work. However, the COVID is a vaccine under EU authorization, and these vaccine mandates for EU vaccines are being banned in some states.

Some states also grant exemption to vaccine mandates for religious reasons. However, if you already had COVID, the science says you don't need a vaccine, and the legal framework around this doesn't seem to be set up for these types of situations.

This COVID vaccine may end up being a temporary vaccine in which either the virus mutates where the current vaccine doesn't work, or the vaccine's effectiveness wears off over time. Unfortunately, no country with a  large population has defeated COVID regardless of the high vaccination rate is, so this is still a very fluid situation.

"We found that none of the previously infected employees who remained unvaccinated were re-infected over the duration of the study."  (5-month study)

They don't know how long immunity would last for people that had COVID nor do they know how long immunity lasts for people that took the vaccine.  I heard guesses of 3-6months.  Some said people that had SARS still had antibodies today.

Now that sounds exactly like what they told us.  Perhaps the difference is in the actual wording.  One seems slanted against vaccination and the other seems for it.   (Or perhaps that’s just my interpretation)

You didn't answer my question. Why did you use the word fascism?

From what I've seen, you might be protected from covid after infection but your protection is more likely to last longer and protect against more variants if you get a vaccine. Getting infected by the "regular" covid won't necessarily protect you from delta or lambda or whatever is coming next.

I would also point out that those of us who are working in the healthcare field have been required to get vaccinated for Hep B and Influenza for years now.  So the precedent has been set.  We all know that there will be exceptions such as with people who have certain pre-existing conditions but that really is a red herring argument because no one is advocating that anyone get vaccinated against medical advice.

This goes beyond political elections and what party you vote for, this is going to be a fight about our fundamental right as human beings to live in a free society.  New Yorkers hopefully will stand up for each other and tell the government, NO, we aren't following your discrimination rules.

I half-jokingly said the unvaccinated people might not get their covid-related treatment covered by insurance and then there's this,  It's not an exact match but it's getting close

The vaccine is getting less than 41% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID, which means you can get COVID and spread COVID even with the vaccine.  I remember seeing a report somewhere the COVID vaccine loses about 6% effectiveness per month against the Delta variant.

We only have 100 senators in congress, 3 of them who were fully vaccinated recently got COVID proving breakthrough cases are happening at a high rate.

If you wanted to go authoritarian to the extreme using science, you could just ban everyone over 65 years old from going inside anywhere since they are the ones immune-compromised.  Ban all kids since they can't get the vaccine.  Ban everyone that got the vaccine over 5 months ago, since the vaccine loses effectiveness over time.

I heard rumors some doctors want to ban COVID patients from getting ICU beds since they could have gotten the vaccine thus prevented a preventable disease.  While we are at it, ban all fat people from going to the hospital since being fat is a preventable disease and ban all drug users from going to hospitals since they doing damage to themselves and we shouldn't have to take care of them.

I'm just kidding but the world is becoming a sick place.  You can see how easy it would be to justify any authoritarian measure and it's a matter of time till you are the one affected.

Kids are now catching COVID and dying with it or becoming permanently disabled because the Biden administration didn't get vaccines ready in time for kids going back to school.  Kids represent around 20% of all COVID cases now.

Be safe, everyone. If you get symptomatic COVID, regardless if you had the vaccine or not, I would suggest looking into getting the Regeneron monoclonal antibodies treatment ASAP before your symptoms get worse.

I think this is an oversimplification of the situation.  Most people who are "vaccine-hesitant" cite the excuse "It was developed too fast" as one of their reason for not getting the shot.  But you're saying it was not developed fast enough?  And blaming Biden for this?  I'm sorry but you've lost me with this argument.
