Yeah, that's another possibility. As I said, hopefully ASU will open ENG 2 as self-paced any time soon.
I wanted to point out international students from English speaking countries don't need a language test, so maybe that's applicable for you.
I have mailed jcjc and asked if they are accepting international students because when I tried to register I didn't find a drop down for countries.
I am not from an English speaking country so that's not applicable for me either. Anyways if you guys know any other option please comment so I will check it out too. Price per credit doesn't matter since I will be taking only 1 course. But of course, the cheaper the better

msa145, did you check with TESU if they accept English 1&2 from a RA school as a substitute to TOEFL or IELTS? btw, I managed to get the TOEFL as they started offering an online exam now.

I have mailed them and currently waiting for their response. For me the online exam is not available and need alternatives.

What about the IELTS Indicator? It's available in the UAE. https://www.ieltsindicator.com/faq/
The TOEFL online should also be available to you: https://www.ets.org/s/cv/toefl/at-home/
Quote:The test is available everywhere that TOEFL iBT testing is normally available, with the exception of Mainland China and Iran.
Looking at iBT testing locations, there are multiple in UAE and at least one in Dubai.

The online version wasn't available at the time I initiated this thread. It was limited to a handful of countries but they opened it later to more countries and I did take it then.

I got you and msa145 mixed up as to who was where. Still, msa145 will hopefully be able to take the necessary test(s).

I got an answer via email today, Here is the email :
Quote:Hi, : Yes, that is usually what we would do. However, you will need to apply and send us the transcripts. More information here:
https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/apply-in...al-student
Note that if you have any international transcripts, you will need to have them evaluated by one of the organizations located on the page above.
Best wishes!
Be well,
The email was not clear so I contacted TESU over phone and the lady I spoke to told me to apply with the credits and they might consider the application and if there is a need for TOEFL they will inform me. She also told me the application is valid for 1 year so I can take TOEFL if my application didn't went through.

They told me the same thing. At first they asked me to send them my transcripts and they might consider them. My English courses were from SDC, though. TESU came back to me negative and asked me to take the Accuplacer test as a substitute to TOEFL so I did take it but a week later they came back to me with a “we’re sorry we can’t accept the Accuplacer”. At last, I took the TOEFL and enrolled.

Did you ask about the two courses (ENG 1,2) from a RA school?
