I am using My Pie to study the topics. When i go take the practice questions and input the answers, i'm getting them wrong and they are correct. I attempted the second assessment and had most answers correct but i only got a 1% progress on the report  My Pie chart says i have like 592 topics to cover. I need serious help

After the first assessment you are put into learning mode and every so often they give you an assessment on what you have learned only. Then when the system thinks you've learned enough it offers up another overall assessment. If you get 70% on the overall assessment you are done. If you miss any questions it charts your weaknesses and this shows up on your pie as topics you need to learn.
When I took Aleks I took the assessments, worked my pie a little and then requested another overall assessment. Sooner or later you get to that lucky 70%, just keep working your pie. I know you just want to get it done, but you are learning as you go; if you knew it all you would have passed the first time right? So let yourself learn by doing the pie and you will get it.
Also if you search this site I have some hints for passing quicker.

These FAQ ALEKS topics were buried due to their age, the site format change, and are now suddenly quite relevant due to the current update of ALEKS being back on ACE approval. I don't have to tell you how few people take the time to search past the first few pages of this forum to find the answers to questions that have been answered 100s of times. I had just received a few PMs from people asking questions specific to the ALEKS topic and knew the information was out here; after digging and rereading 25+ old threads on the topic today I decided to bump these three carefully chosen ones, so consider that my add to the topic - I have saved some people time in locating the information and others time saved in not having to answer again the same questions they answered almost daily nearly 10 months ago.

You definitely helped me out by bumping these threads - thanks again!

And the search here can be less than helpful sometimes, in my experience, so if someone knows exactly what they're searching FOR, to bump it, that's really helpful for those of us who are trying to figure out what it is we're looking for.
