Yep...You betcha, they've been doing monthly extension renewals for like 8-9 months now.
Until they get a full 3-5 year renewal from ACE, it'll keep happening. Just continue working on it...
You'll know in a couple or three days, someone will "popup" or revive a thread and say so...

I went to the ACE site earlier and it said they were closed 9/1 and 9/4 for Labor Day. The renewal will likely happen after that.

My guess is based on the message posted on the ALEKS website, is that a 30-day renewal is not coming...

That's actually a new message/update that I've never seen rolled out before, so you might be right. If you've got a current ALEKS membership, hold on to it as long as you can and wait until news comes out officially, but I definitely wouldn't pay for a month until this is squared away.

Figures and I just used my coupon for 6 month subscription Aug 1st and was working through Algebra which is difficult for me. There's $91 I may have wasted. I may need to do straighterline and hope I can get enough points to pass in case I fail the exam.

In the past, they've listened to customers, so if you're in progress, it certainly wouldn't hurt to send them an email or make a phone call. Tell them you want college credit!

They've been limping along for most of a year with these short extensions, so it stands to reason that they can't continue that way indefinitely. I find the "cannot guarantee success" line a little hollow, if they are committed to the process there is no reason they wouldn't succeed.

For those working on the ALEKS courses, I would recommend continuing with working on your other credits (or FREE courses if you haven't done the free ones) while you're waiting. Hopefully, when they get back on the 5th or 6th, there will be an answer from ACE. I still think they'll get extended for the next month or few. Changes may come, but I think it'll come later in the year or end of the year... If you require similar math credits and already using Shmoop, they've got comparable non-proctored courses.
