Questions for CLEP College Composition
#1
Hi,
Got my CLEP biology and college composition exams next month.

Got few questions for recent CLEP College Composition exam takers.

1. Is there a minute or two after the MCQs section before we start the essay part?
2. Is there a minute or two between the two essays?
3. Are we able to see the MCQs result right away like other CLEP scores?
4. Is final result mailed to postal address or emailed? (I wont be in the country after my exams so wondering how will I know result)
5. Are Peterson's exams close enough the real ones?
last question
6. Did all of you get headache after the nerve racking time management?? (or is it me only who's brain seems empty after a complete practice test)

Hello,

I took the test in the first week of January. Here is what I remember:

1. After you complete the multiple choice questions you are notified onscreen that you are moving on to the next section and will not be able to go back. Once you agree with the onscreen prompts to move on, you are presented with a screen or two that explains specifics and give directions for the first essay. It was clearly explained when the timer would start (upon clicking forward to see your essay topic). It was the same for the second essay, --gave pertinent directions and notified you that the timer will start once you click forward and are shown your essay topic.

2. If there was a timer going between essays limiting this period, I was unaware of it. All I remember is that I was notified onscreen that I had to click forward before the timer would start again.

3. No. Your score is a composite of the MCQs and the essays. My score took 14 days to get via mail. My understanding is that if you were taking the college comp modular (no essays and more MCQs) you would immediately see your score.

4. I did not get an email. They mail your score on a document titled 'Official Clep Transcript'. Of note, I did get an email from TESU the following day saying that they received a transcript from CLEP; however, this email did not provide a score. The email went on to say that they would review it for credit, make changes to my academic evaluation, and send me another email when completed.

5. No comment. I didn't take the Peterson's for college comp.

6. I think its different for everyone. For what it's worth, practice quickly refocusing between practice tests. This test will challenge your ability to do so.

Thanks a lot !!!
It is a relive to know what time starts only after clicking forward..and that gives some time to relax mind before moving to essay.
Hope you passed the exam. Smile
