New York State's New "Excelsior Scholarship" Full Tuition If Family Makes < $125,000
#1
Note:
This is for state community colleges and four-years, and is only to take effect after exhausting Pell Grant and the New York Tution Assistance Program.

The name stuck out to me, for some reason.

I saw this, I think it is a response in case Trump administration revokes Pell in NYC.

If I was a New Yorker i'd be pretty unhappy with paying for other people's tuition. If you want to go to college don't make it anyone else's burden.

Most states pay at least a portion of the bills at state colleges. For sure CA does. A lot. Add to that any federal/state aid, and they pay big chunks of people's colleges all the time.

They give school stipends, this is another welfare program that'll just drive tuition up in the long run.
