Finding Cheap or Free Credits Project
#1
I was thinking that we could systematically go through each organization (other than the ones we know about) evaluated by ACE and NCCRS to find cheap or free credits. The criteria, for example, could be that a course has to be online or by correspondence, a test has to be offered online or through a testing center with locations nationwide, that the cost has to equal $100 per credit hour or less, the approval for credit has to be current, and there are no work experience or practicum requirements. Each volunteer could choose a letter of the alphabet and look at all the organizations starting with that letter. Letters with a lot of organizations can be split among two or more members.

I think this is a great idea and I'll gladly help out when I can. I need to finish up the wiki cleanup project, but I haven't had time for much of anything since the baby was born. I'll get back in the swing of things soon and lend a hand.

Thanks sanantone -- I love the idea too!
Maybe when I'm done with my last few courses -- say late-December -- if there are any letters left, I can help.

Is that for ACE, NCCRS, or both? I think I want to start with NCCRS since we haven't really explored their options.

TEEX is more than just 6 SH in Cyber Free credits.

TEEX has other FREE credits in 2-day resident courses taught in all 50 States that are not hard to get into.

MGT-318 Public Information (2-days) = 1 SH
MGT-315 Critical Assets Risk Management (2-days) = 1 SH

Same can be said for EMI and NFA.

I think the point is to find options that specifically are not butt-in-seat

This was the suggested criteria, though I guess it wasn't finalized.
