Was wondering if anyone has used both of these and can reccomend which is easier and faster.
I am preparing to take Saylor Principles of Marketing and don't want to waste time with Saylor's course.
After that exam, I will have CLEP, DSST, Uexcel and TCEP left to finish my degree.

I used Study.com (when it was free and under its old name) to prepare for Saylor's Principles of Marketing and I got a 78% which is pass. I know of two others who scored above 80 using study.com videos only. My strategy was to watch all videos, take the quizzes at the end of each video/study unit, take Saylor unit and final practice quizzes before taking the proctored finals. Am unable to comment on Instantcert, but I have read good things about it, too.

I used study.com for the saylor test prep. It did the job. Honestly, I was sick of reading and the videos were a welcomed relief.

I used both instantcert and study.com for my sociology clep. I like them both and think they each have a place in learning. I like the passive way I was able to learn using study.com because I could watch and listen to the videos while doing chores around the house or whatever. The visual aspect also helps me to retain more info. Instantcert was good for reinforcing what I'd already learned elsewhere. I am grandfathered into the old $20 per month at study.com and although I haven't used it recently I keep up my membership because it's not really worth more than that.

I really like to use both. I used pretty much only Study.com to prepare for my Intro to Management CLEP test and it completely prepared me, I got a 70. I then tried to use it again on Business law and after I finished the course I only got like a 55% on my practice test so I used instantcert to finish preparing.
In the future I will definitely be using them together because it's easy to forget what you learned on study.com and instantcert is great for filling in gaps and solidifying the information. Likewise with Instantcert sometimes you need a little more information than a little flashcard for the more difficult concepts. That's when it's great to jump over to study.com and watch a quick video.
Although Study.com is great it can very time consuming so I like to kind of rush through it and then fill in my gaps later. I have a program on my computer that speeds up videos so I watch them at 2X the speed and sometimes I only watch the end of the video - the lesson summary. You'll miss a couple things like that but you'll quickly see what you didn't understand when it goes to the mini-quiz part and you'll almost certainly come across it again in instantcert.
So to summarize that I really like them combined. Study.com takes too long in my opinion if you go through it entirely and carefully so I like to rush through it and then fine-tune my knowledge of the subject with instantcert and practice tests. The study.com quizzes at the end of each section (about 30) are also very helpful to quickly figure out where your weak points are and the big one at the end of the whole course is great too but you do have to finish ALL of the courses and mini-quizez to unlock that so that can be a waste of time. I don't always finish the whole course and unlock it. So just don't get too caught up in doing the study.com perfectly or you'll waste time and wish you had spent some of that time on other resources like Instantcert (that's how it goes for me anyway)
I also take "flow-based" notes on almost all of the instantcert flashcards. Scott H. Young (blogger) talks a lot about flow-based note taking and I have found it works really well for me to solidify what I have learned on study.com by taking these notes on instantcert flashcards.
Anyway hope that helps anyone. I've noticed very few posts (percentage wise) are about study methods on this forum. They are almost all about degree plans and specific feedback.
I think study methods can be almost just as important as knowing what to study.

I have used both and love both. For the marketing CLEP, instantcert along with the notes from this forum are all you need in order to pass. It would be the quickest and cheapest way by far.

$20 per month for 2 credit courses? or the basic account?
