Free Ethics Course
#61
Still haven't heard how/if TESC will take this course, but please post when you send them your ACE Transcript!

As for that, you go to ACE and create an account: https://www2.acenet.edu/credit/?fuseacti...ATION.main

Then, when you log in, you go to "Course Search" and put in the info: under Organization Name, you type "American Institute For Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters/The Institutes" (I think it will start to fill it in as you type), then under Course/Examination Title type "Ethics" and it will populate it with 4 courses or so. Click on "Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct" (Course #312), and a window will open up: Choose "Add to Transcript". You then need to put in the date you finished the course, and that's it. ACE will reach out to the Organization, and a few days later, the course should be in your ACE account.

You do the same thing with ALEKS, Sophia, anything that's ACE-recommended. I would do as many of these courses as you plan on doing first, before you send the transcript to TESC, otherwise you will have to pay each time you send it.

Keep us posted if you hear from TESC about this course!

Had problems registering an account with ACE on Friday, the error message was as follows "The Student ID Number you entered is invalid. Please contact your organization to confirm your Student ID number." I had used the student ID from The Institutes and am not really keen on using my SSN to try and register, has anyone else encounteres this?

I used my SS# to create my ACE account, because I was going to be transferring in more than 1 exam/course. If you are going to transfer in the Ethics course, and then a couple of DSST/CLEP exams, some ALEKS credit, a Sophia course, and some SL courses - you cannot do it with a Student ID - each organization creates their own info, so there's no way you can get them all to use that same ID to make sure you're the correct person.

But I went in and started to create a new account without a SS#, and it let me. After getting that error message, you can click "continue with registration" and it will let you go to the next page.

I'm still confused...which option do I choose? The first one (free) or the second one ($5)?

Thanks!

Thanks!

The free one (first link). Just make sure you also pick the correct course when submitting to ACE. On ACE, it will be listed as "Ethics and the CPCU Code of Professional Conduct ( online course)".
