TESC Residency
#11
besh4u Wrote:I am only 24 credits away from graduating and at SL these are upper level to tesc. Business communications
Organizational behavior
Cost accounting
Business ethics
World religions
Microbiology
Principles of management

Using them and taking the capstone course I should be good to go. I am also finalizing my FINRA licensing so I will be able to get any extra credits needed that way.

But I am currently a student at Excelsior and I think its safer to stay there but will take me longer to graduate. At tesc I feel I could graduate by dec if they allow me to take the capstone class by utilizing SL.

Does that sounds right?

TESC only has UL requirements for the area of study. Cost Accounting and Principles of Management will not go in the liberal studies area of study. These are only applicable to business degrees. They are free electives in every other degree program. You only need worry about 15 UL credits. The required capstone counts toward the 18 UL credit requirement.

Would the other 4 courses at SL count towards upper level credit at tesc?

I would only need to earn 3 more upper level credits to complete that part of my liberal arts degree?

There are 5 UL courses at SL that can count toward your liberal studies degree.

Business Communication = COM-300 (humanities)
Organizational Behavior = SL says MAN-311, but it will count as an UL psychology course also. (social science)
Microbiology = BIO-351 (natural science)
Business Ethics = PHI-384 (humanities)
Intro to World Religions = REL-405 (humanities)

See this gets better and better. So with capstone course I would have 18 upper level credits that they require for liberal arts bachelor? Only need to make sure I have 120 total credits?
