Cheapest Online Courses/Colleges List (16+)

There are a few Straighterline courses that TESC accepts for UL credit. I took Business Communications, Organizational Behavior and Introduction to Management and all of them are give a 300 level designation. I think a few of their science courses are also assessed at the 300 level, as well.
A.A. General Studies- TESC, 2013
B.A. History, TESC, 2014 - Arnold Fletcher Award - 4.0 GPA
M.A. Government, Security Studies - Johns Hopkins University, Class of 2018.

Straighterline - 26 courses, including English Comp. I & II, Western Civilization I & II, U.S. History I & II, Intro. to Sociology, Intro to Philosophy, Cultural Anthropology, Environmental Science, Science of Nutrition, Business Law, Financial Accounting, etc.

ALEKS: Intermediate Algebra

CLEP: Humanities 56, Social Sciences and History 58

FEMA: 6 credits

DSST: Civil War and Reconstruction 71, Introduction to Vietnam War 69, Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union 64, Modern Middle East 71.

TESC courses: War and American Society (A), Liberal Arts Capstone (A).

120/120! I'm there!

Added your notes, thanks!

• Penn Foster College is nationally accredited (NA), not regionally accredited (RA). PF courses will only transfer to TESC and COSC if they also hold credit recommendations from ACE CREDIT current at the time credit is earned. Some PFC courses do, some don't. I believe EC has a procedure where students can request acceptance of up to 30 sh of NA credit, subject to EC's discretion. Opportunities to transfer NA credit to other RA schools is also limited.

• California Coast University is NA, not RA, and I don't believe they have any ACE CREDIT or other similar approvals.

• Columbia Southern University is NA, not RA, and I don't believe they have any ACE CREDIT or other similar approvals. Columbia Southern is currently applying for RA, a long process with approval uncertain even for a good NA school.

I've never taken a Straighterline course, but it would probably be listed under a category called "ACE" or maybe some code for Straighterline. My CLEP, DSST, and FEMA credits were clearly categorized separately and so were the courses I took at other colleges.

Officially COSC list my SL as:

"Organization: Straighterline
MAT 101, College Algebra"

Same for DSST/CLEP/other transferred college work.

My unofficial transcript doesn't indicate the source of anything, just list the courses/credits.
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

They are indeed listed under "ACE" on TESC transcripts, or at least they were on mine last year when I got a copy.

All of the credits from ACE show up as Thomas Edison State College on my academic evaluation. Not sure about the official transcript. Note that src 1 is listed as Thomas Edison State College.
