Did it! Passed Aleks Intro to Stats! 24 hours!

Great job. This was the one ALEKSS course I did (well it was Stats for Behavioral Sciences but from my understanding, they're the same thing.) This was a monster for me. ALEKS is a great system but I hope people don't go in thinking it'll be easy, it really doesn't hold your hand at all.

Do you think if one is able to pass the ALEKS statistics that that means they can also pass ALEKS College and/or Intermediate Algebra?

I'd say so, I hear both are "easier". (I put that in quotes as I'm not a math person so for those who are, it's probably easier. And I probably could have passed them had I taken them, but I'm just guessing, again, I'm terrible at math.)

Yes, with the microsoft program.

I banged my head looking for my excel file that I used to send to the forum on my computer, but could not find it. I would have said something earlier, but you know some people in this forum can be verrrrrry judgemental. We're all here to help each other, but they don't see it that way. (off topic, me ranting). This morning I was sending a copy of the Ethic book that I combined to another forummer, then I realized I had back up my system to Google Drive.

Attached is my spreadsheet. I hope you can, you can complete all 3 statistics classes with it.
Steps:
0. Each of the tabs, match each topic/subtopic.
1. Control F, options, within Workbook.
2. type in the sentence, verify the questions matched, more than likely the numbers will not.
3. Go to the page/tab for you finding. input the number in RED. DO NOT touch the black.
4. Sections that asked you to populate 'z' or 't' IN ALEKS, you have to calculate them in Aleks, then go back and add the result in the spreadsheet.

3 sections I had a hard time with was Hypothesis, acceptance sampling (I did it, but I can't remember how), I can't remember the other.

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions.

Is it too late to try and bang out statistics today? because it does expire tomorrow, and i know it takes time for aleks to process grades to transcripts

I did it!!!!

I stated at approximately 6:00PM on the 30th and finished at around 09:00PM on the 31st with 69.8% (81/116 subjects) ... I held my breath and took a look at the control panel overview .... they rounded!!!! 70% on the money, whooo hoooo! I submitted immediately to ACE and woke up with Intro to Statistics on my ACE transcript!!

I really wish ALEKS would get recertified though, I was hoping to do the trig and algebra courses ... has anyone heard any more info from them?

I might try doing the algebra and see if I can sneak it in under the wire... they still promote ACE on the website...

I wouldn't suggest trying to "sneak it under the wire". The wire is clearly visible, course is accredited until 10/31. Anything after that is NOT ACE approved for credit.

It doesn't matter what ALEKS has on their site, it only matters what ACE says. And according to ACE, ALEKS credit is no more.
