Does anyone know if a raw score of 44 would be enough to pass CLEP college algebra?

I am using the peterson practice tests and I am getting around 44 out of 60 each time. This is 73%. I am unsure of how they calculate the final score.
I want to take it ASAP but not if 44 out of 60 won't get me a passing score.

You do know that the ACE-recommended score of 50 equates to a 'C' level of work, right? And that this is the lowest cut-off of 'C' scores?

Have you taken the CLEP practice test for College Algebra? This would be a much better predictor of your results as the level of difficulty and wording of the problems and answers would be very similar to the actual test. Peterson is not CLEP - 2 totally different companies. Peterson practice tests are great at providing some additional questions on the subject matter, but should not be used exclusively when you are preparing for your CLEP exams. I recommend them as supplements to everything else you are using, especially if you want to get used to taking a timed-test.

I haven't taken the CLEP practice tests because they are not free, but perhaps I will need to purchase these. I did do the 5 sample questions on the CLEP website and got 4/5 of those questions correct. I was using the Texas A&M website to re-teach myself algebra, as well as these instantcert flash cards. I need practice with log functions and imaginary numbers a bit still it seems. I used the Peterson's Practice Tests for the CLEP College Algebra Exam because they were free and timed.

Oh, I did find a free copy of the 18th edition CLEP College Algebra study guide, and I will try that test later today. Thanks for your response. Knowing the scaled score of 50 is a 'C' helps a bit.

We don't know how CLEP scores are calculated either but 73% on a PT is pretty great anyway.
