CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT)

Well, it's the age long question of CLEPs and a corresponding scaled score. To think that the CollegeBoard has these out there, is well... unthinkable (almost). Confusedmilelol: To find them was amazing, it's too good not share! My pleasure. Big Grin

It really is. I mean this has been discussed at length long before I joined- it was a hot topic in every old archive I read when I joined. I think- with about 99% certainty- that I've read every post in the forum. It's just. So. Cool. Smile

Please do not provide any information from this site to students or potential CLEP candidates.

It is totally up to you what you want to do with this info. The university who initially made this public made an error in judgment and testing policy. I only wanted to explain why this info had not been made available before.
Okay, I'll take your word for it. It just seems as if they're aimed more for the takers then the administrators.

HERE'S WHAT I'LL DO:
Because this place seems to be filled with every form of student as well as a wee bit overflowing with CLEP candidates, I will NOT share or propagate these anymore. I also encourage anyone else that may have saved them before hand to not do the same. The university apparently slipped up. If we know anything, one of the worst things out there is to follow in footsteps that were made in error. Initially, I didn't know that this was the case. As more info has been added, things have been made clearer.

HOWEVER, I will contact the CollegeBoard and ask for their (written) permission to share them.
It's extremely doubtful that they'll allow it, but hey, when it's this good, it's worth a shot. Who knows, they may realize that if people REALLY wanted it, they'd be able to find them since the PDFs are out there on the web, and allow it to be shared.

I sent them an email a couple days ago, never heard back. Decided to call them, and looks like it's one big fat confirmed stinking NO. The rep I spoke too, had a quite a few "ummm's" "errr's" and "uhh's" after I explained what was in the documents. He seemed pretty surprised that a party that was not a college was inquiring about them and actually had them. Guess they are strictly for colleges and not for test takers. And, yes, they wanted some of my info to document the call. lol Go figure. Tongue

@BGSU_Alum_86 To answer my own question... The reason testing candidates aren't supposed to have them is because, as you said, they're for colleges. The scoring information is there so that colleges can make decisions on passing scores, how much credit, and what not. They don't want students studying for the exam and how many questions to get right/wrong. They want the students studying the information and topic. Completely understandable. On the practice test side of thing, they say in the documents, "The following sample questions do not appear on an actual CLEP examination. They are intended to give potential test-takers an indication of the format and difficulty level of the examination and to provide content for practice and review," so there's something up there. Either they copied and pasted the individual test's they have and didn't not that, or if they typed that in error, it probably isn't accurate. Who knows. My guess is that the tests are in there for colleges to see what the CLEP is like and compare it to their own course content and what not.

Anyway, to honor the CollegeBoard's desire, as I mentioned earlier, I'm no longer going to share these. It's a real bummer that it has to work this way, but it's the status quo. Sorry to those who had their hopes up, and to those who already read through them, enjoy the info, but don't share it please. If something miraculous happens to change the situation, I'll let ya know (like if they for some reason reply to the email and say 'Okay'... as I said, it would be a miracle). So sorry, but NO MORE PDFs FOLKS.
