Obama's America 2016
#41
Obamas 2016? only if we can still get more of this:

Bush

"They misunderestimated me." —Bentonville, Ark., Nov. 6, 2000

"There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." —Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000

"Too many good docs are getting out of the business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country." —Poplar Bluff, Mo., Sept. 6, 2004

Sarah Palin

"He who warned, uh, the British that they weren't gonna be takin' away our arms, uh, by ringing those bells, and um, makin' sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be sure and we were going to be free, and we were going to be armed." --Sarah Palin, botching the history of Paul Revere's midnight ride, June 3, 2011

"But obviously, we've got to stand with our North Korean allies." --Sarah Palin, after being asked how she would handle the current hostilities between the two Koreas, interview on Glenn Beck's radio show, Nov. 24, 2010

Todd Akin

“It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.”

How about Obama not knowing how many states there were?

Could list tons of Obama blunders (*cough* oblunders *cough*) But human beings slip up once in a while when they speak. I don't think it's a biggie.

HOWEVER, how about Al Gore, just this past week after the presidential debate, blaming Obama's performance on the altitude (it was in Denver). :roflol: Really?

The irony is that boeing 747 series air planes are pressurized to 9,000 ft. Denver's altitude, if memory serves, is about 6,000 ft., give or take a few based on my last field exercise out there. you would think that since he is coming down in altitude that he would have had the upper hand. :roflol:

I just find it interesting that we would focus on misspoken words, either in lapse in judgement or not knowing all the facts, and override our own judgement in deciphering the good and bad actions of the individuals. ie., the signing of the NDAA act by Obama.

words are the most powerful drug used by mankind. the average american voter is easily influenced by them.

true. people slip. but at some point you have to ask yourself: IS "politics"(hehe, little bush joke here) the right career choice if you "slipped" so often that the entire world makes fun of you and sees you as an "idiot".

legitimate rape? no abortion for rape victims?

Basically what the Republicans are saying is that if your daughter is raped and becomes pregnant and that pregnancy threatens her life, you MUST sacrifice your daughter's life to save the child of a rapist! Think about that one for a little bit. Yes, trade your daughter's life for the child of her rapist. That's the Republican platform.

There are only 5 OTHER countries that do not allow for any exception in their woman hating legislation. They are: Malta, Chile, Nicaragua, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic. Even Saudi Arabia allows exceptions. The rest of the civilized world is laughing at us....aren't you proud???

But Democrats are voided from their nonsense right?

"In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7/11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." - Joe Biden on multicultural communities

"Those who survived the San Francisco earthquake said, ‘Thank God, I'm still alive.' But, of course, those who died, their lives will never be the same again." - Sen. Barbara Boxer on the thoughts of the dead

"Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi on a nation with 307 million people

"This liberal is all about socializing- umm I mean…" - Rep. Maxime Waters letting her tongue slip

"Today we have two Vietnams, side by side, north and south." - Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee on geography

"But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." - Nancy Pelosi

"John McCain has not spoken about my Muslim faith." - Then-Senator Barack Obama

"Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions!" Obama, after being asked repeated questions by reporters

"I bowled a 129. It's like- It was like the Special Olympics." Obama

I have 55 more.

I concur. Every democrat should remove themselves out of office then.

Uh, where is that the Republican platform? You have a republican who believes in a wacky theory and now the whole republican caucus bears the same belief? I do remember the GOP had asked him to step out of the race after his slip-up. But let's ignore that little tid-bit.

And since WHEN have we ever needed the approval of any other sovereign nation? Who in the hell cares about the opinions of others?

And yes, I'm very proud. Then again, I am an American. :patriot: We tend to be prideful.

Paradoxical Quote of The Day From Ben Stein:

"Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen.” Now add this, "Many of those who refuse, or are unable, to prove they are citizens will receive free insurance paid for by those who are forced to buy insurance because they are citizens."
Think about it when you vote in November!

Here is Sarah Brady

Our main agenda is to have ALL guns banned. We must use whatever means possible. It doesn't matter if you have to distort facts or even lie. Our task of creating a socialist America can only succeed when those who would resist us have been totally disarmed.

But one of my personal favorites................."Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the outcome." --(Attributed to) Benjamin Franklin

I'm glad I don't have guys like you on my unit.

First, the human life amendment has been established for God's know-how-long. This was only put into place to prohibit abortion on the accounts of rape and giving the unborn child a right to live under the Constitution. Often cited by the 5th and 14th amendments to support this fundamental right.

However, you previously noted, "Yes, trade your daughter's life for the child of her rapist. That's the Republican platform." Which is not the republican platform. You started off using high-risk pregnancy abortions, instead of rape victims, to exaggerate the position of the republicans anti-abortion stance. Then, switched it. One premise at a time. Stay on one point. Start developing a proper syllogism before presenting an argument.

As far as rape, I don't believe an unborn child should be terminated just because he/she is the product of an evil act. Something that person had no control over. What if you were the product of rape? Its easy to kill something that doesn't have the will to fight back, isn't it?

Coward.

haha. getting personal, huh? My political orientation would not have any impact on my competence as a soldier, sailor, or airman.

hope you are not getting a degree to try for a commission. I don't think you are suitable for a leadership position.

oh, and by the way, who said that I am a man?!

I never heard of this "abortion" amendment. If you're gonna spout lies, may as well make them believable. Hm, is there a reason why America seems to be the only advanced nation in the world that has a problem with this issue? Are they all stupid? Are you somehow special in this respect?

By your logic, how can you truly define life? The majority of the scientific community supports abortion. If you recall the landmark case that made it legal, it was deemed that abortion is actually a safer act than childbirth. That fact remains today. Yes, you heard it. Aborting a baby (before a certain date, obviously) is actually safer for a mother than having it. That's the original reason why it was made legal. The cruel and unusual punishment in this case would be forcing someone to go through the physical and mental anguish of having the child they never intended to have. There is essentially no medical argument that abortion is bad for a woman's health. Just wanted to clarify, that by your unscientific definition of "life at conception", you've put the life of real people at risk.

A further point. Abortion, you could argue, "saves" lives. Many people are not prepared to have a child. They're often very young and very poor. They're simply bringing in another life to the world that cannot be taken care of, ends up being neglected, and perhaps leads to a life of crime. A lot of data suggests the legalization of abortion has accounted for a reduction in crime in America.

For my final point, I thought Republicans were about liberty. I thought you wanted freedom. The freedom to allow people to make choices. Maybe their definition of life is different from yours (ie: the scientific community and pretty much every reputable source therein) and you shouldn't be forcing your beliefs on others. If you don't want to have abortions, go ahead. Stop telling us what to do.

PS: Perhaps you should be more worried about GIs going nuts and opening fire on innocent civilians because they thought that was funny, or they were bored. I'm sure there's quite a body count going on there.
