I've seen people refer to a book for this DSST exam. What book would that be. Any links? I hear this is a real easy exam. I might do that one instead of American Government.

I passed this test by two points and I ain't no dummy. So my advice is be careful, don't assume it will be an easy test. The pass- fail rate on this test would indicate it not to be a cake walk. I found the medical terms, drug names and their effects to be challenging! I know others have found this relatively easy, but even with my last two years of employment in the medical field I'd be studying right up until test time. Good luck!

Hi Sammy, I wouldn't say D&A Abuse was an "easy" exam. However, it is very passable IF you study well for it. The exam covers a lot of information and, for the most part, I felt like I was in medical school as I studied the necessary terminology. But once I got everything in my head, the actual exam was not overly difficult. This exam is Upper Level credit, whereas American Government is Lower Level. You should consider taking Here's To Your Health soon after taking D&A Abuse. They both require you to be in the same "medical" mindset, and drug and alcohol abuse is covered heavily on the HTYH exam. Here are a few links to help you study: http://alcoholism.about.com/od/drugs/ http://alcoholism.about.com/cs/heal/a/aa990818_2.htm http://www.drugabuse.gov/drugpages.html I hope you find the above information helpful. Best of luck, Snazzlefrag |
