Substance Abuse Questions

I'm studying for the Substance Abuse DSST exam. Has anyone taken this exam recently? I just want to get some insight as to what the most important areas I should focus on.

I took this one about 8 months ago so not very recent but I can share my experience for what it's worth. I went through all of the study.com videos to prepare for this one and that was sufficient to pass. However on study.com they talked a lot more about what the different drugs do to you as far as how they make you feel and long term health effects etc. Study.com went over very little of the scientific stuff. But my DSST test had a lot of technical questions about what the drugs literally do to your brain. Like how this certain chemical effects the receptors and makes this other chemical and blah blah blah. So you might want to touch on that science stuff at least a little bit.
I also know for a fact that my DSST test had a question about "current" marijuana laws that was incorrect. I know this because the correct answer was not an option and the law had just changed recently.
Anyway good luck, hopefully someone can answer your question that has taken it more recently.

Took substance abuse in February. Loved it, had a blast studying for it! Not too many surprises, IC cards are all you need. Focus on neurotransmitters, different types of alcohol, tobacco and consequences of all. IC cards have you covered, I think you will like it!
