Ran across this on the CLEP website. They are doing away with the 6 credit test and going to a 3 credit test for accounting. Here is the link

The Scores Are In And The Winner Is ..

ME!!!!!! Yes my first two Dantes tests results came in and they are:

HERE'S TO YOUR HEALTH...56
DRUG AND ALCOHOL ABUSE ...51

Used only Instantcert. I knew more correct answers than the scores show, but I was getting flustered by the Dantes format and made dumb mistakes!!
But, here's the best ....I PASSED AND I have just 3 courses to go !! Yippeee!

  What History?
Posted by: williama79 - 03-30-2006, 12:52 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (5)

What History CLEP is the easiest? Instead of taking the Social Sciences and History exam, I opted to take Sociology and History. I passed the Sociology, and I’m now looking to study for the History portion.

Which of the History exams would be easier for me to pass, using InstantCert?

Thanks
Bill

  American and English Lit CLEPs
Posted by: sirjake - 03-30-2006, 11:48 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

I've already taken and passed analyzing and interpreting literature. I'm not asking about that one...

I know that Instantcert doesn't have any literature CLEP guides, but has anyone else here taking either of these? I need another lower level literature credit (since I moved Analyzing and interpreting to my major--considered upper level credit for some reason [????]). I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for study, guides to point me to, wisdom about how easy or hard it is, etc.

And Steve, if you could create a set of flashcards for either of these, I'll bet they'd be popular. 6 credits each is pretty spiffy.

Thanks!

how many tests a day or week??!!!
Posted by: ramiller1976us - 03-30-2006, 08:07 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (2)

I have been following this site for a while and am now looking to take some tests. I have been going to TESC last year but will do the rest by testing out and then enroll at COSC.
The problem is that i live in Europe for the next year or so and taking a Clep or Dantes here is not easy. Basically the only place reasonable is in the UK and it cost too much. Plus they only offer testing 2 days a year!!

SO i will coming over this fall for 2 weeks and taking as many tests as i can. I will be in either NYC or Portland, OR.
Is there a limit on how many test i take at a site per day? I think i remember one have a rule about 2 a day. If i took some easy ones i was hoping to do 3+. So i was thinking about doing 2 at one site and then going to another in the afternoon and doing another there....

ALso do sites charge thier own test fees as well as the Clep and Dantes test fees....

Thanks for any info you can give....
