Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to let the servicemembers out there know that the enrollment, annual, and graduation fees at Excelsior College can be paid for by the Montgomery GI Bill. I did not know about it until a few months after I enrolled, but fortunately I was not too late to apply for it.
There's a pdf file on Excelsior's website titled "Veterans Administration Benefits Summary" that explains how to apply for it. When I first enrolled in the college, I was expecting to pay $1400 out-of-pocket to enroll and to graduate but I'll end up paying nothing (well, I did pay $1200 for the MGIB itself).
Anyways, don't let your benefits slip by...

Hey, for those of you that have taken this test and passed any words of wisdom? What did you study? Was it hard if you haven't read all of the books since the 1800's?
I bought the Idiots guide to American Literature but I am wondering if I need to read a whole bunch of cliffs notes or something.
Thanks for your help!

Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, the Brontes, Thomas Hardy and Anthony Trollope. Sunday nights find me watching PBS. I also love Rosamund Pilcher. Favorite modern author has to be Francine Rivers.
Who do you like? (Beckysharp)

Thought it might be good to bring this over to a new thread so the other off topic thread doesn't become too off topic.
Favorite English authors would have to include: Sir Francis Bacon, Sir Issac Newton, Daniel Defoe, John Wyclife, Shakespeare and Agatha Christie. I have eclectic taste. Favorite modern author-girl, we are on the same page here! Francine Rivers, hands down. "Redeeming Love" was awesome. I wouldn't read it for the longest time because the title sounded too "girly." Glad that a friend kept insisting. She has some other truly good ones also.(Edit-forgot to include Dickens!)
Okay, non-English author favorites? And does anyone else have some favorites they would like to share?

Excelsior Psychology Major |

Hi All,
I just downloaded the current version of the Guidelines for the Major in Psychology from Excelsior (I had an older version).
In the new pdf file, there is an announcement that they "anticipate that requirements for the major in Psychology will change" as of January 1, 2007.
So if any of you are planning on doing a Psychology degree based on the existing requirements, you might want to make sure you enroll before the end of this year.
I couldn't find any details about the actual changes they expect to make. But I feel confident in guessing that the changes will make the requirements more stringent than they are currently.
Has anybody else heard any further details? Can anybody who is already enrolled find out from their advisor for us?
Thanks,
Snazzlefrag

American Govt - ready? |

OK, so I have been studying for this test and have gotten a lot of useful information from past posts, but I am very concerned that I am not ready.
I have taken two Peterson practice tests and scored 44 and 48 - this is what scares me. While I am taking these tests I always feel confident that I know the information and am always a little shocked by the score. I have never scored below 50 in any practice test before (except math). There also seems to be a lot of graphs in the practice test. Are there a lot on the actual test?
Well, I am suppose to take the test tomorrow at 3 PM and I am feeling very nervous. Studying is a challenge because I have 3 kids home from school.
Anyhow, I will just keep plugging away. Any advice is always welcome.
Thanks, Kim

Hi Everyone,
I am very tentatively considering tackling Business Law II at some point. Sadly, Instantcert doesn't yet cover this exam.
So for my own benefit as well as others, I wonder if we could put our heads together and fill this thread with feedback, advice, tips, tricks, and opinions on the Business Law II exam.
I haven't been able to find many online study resources for this particular exam either. So if anybody knows of any useful sites, or has notes, pdf's etc. to share, please speak up.
Here are the online resources I have found so far:

http://homepage.gallaudet.edu/Marshall.W...eview.html

Thanks in advance for your input,
