  HRM Study Aids
Posted by: blueyzz28 - 11-13-2007, 10:14 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - No Replies

I was using my Itunes the other night and did a search for Human Resource Management. I found an audio book and a series of lectures by Professor Ritter. I think that was the name. It is a series of 26 individual lectures on HR, and from what I can tell it is free. You just have to download each lecture. The lecuters are about an hour long and this is video format. Just thought some of you might be interested. I plan on taking HR but not for another few months.

Government Exam 51 is that a pass?
Posted by: aisha38 - 11-13-2007, 02:33 AM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (4)

Dudes.. : ( I had 100% of IC down, the nutshell notes 100% memorized and high 68 on the peterson tests..I was convinced I'd ace government. studied forEver... and not a single thing came up from any of those questions. no cases, no ammendments, none of that stuff boo hoo. lots of weird questions none of them I recognized. was really hard /disheartening.. Smile OHHHHHHHHHHH WELL.

anyways I can't believe that I don't know the 'passing' score from University of Mass....wondering if anyone really knows?.. or what their schools have for passing .. I'm SO hoping Government Exam is 51... Sad guess I'll call them later on today... .. whimmper... first test.... makes me feel nervous for my intro to sociology. that's another one of those 100% I have it down. oh well we'll see.. gonna take that next. bye bye. Sad

Hello all, I took and passed (69) the Spanish Clep exam. I would like to know how the credits would be distributed towards say an Associates Degree in Liberal arts?

  What is DSST?
Posted by: BeeMarie - 11-12-2007, 10:24 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (6)

I finally got a clue (sort of) and tried to figure out what DSST is. According to the web site, both my lower level and upper level colleges accept these tests, but neither of them administers them. I don't know how I'm going to find out information on whether I can use any of the DSST tests toward my degree.

Oh, and I was wondering, is DSST the same thing as Dantes?

Any clues appreciated!

Hello Everyone:

I was wondering if any of you knew how long one must wait to retake a CLEP or DSST if failed the first time. Im a little nervous and am preparing to take Dantes, "Ethics in America."

Thank you.

  Courses in a week?
Posted by: Jubilee - 11-12-2007, 05:31 PM - Forum: General Education-Related Discussion - Replies (8)

Ok, so I'm pretty new to CLEPing (and to IC as well) and I had a few questions about the process. I'm working on my basic "general education" credits for a history degree from TESC. I've only taken two tests so far, English Comp and US History 1, and did well on both of them. History 2 will be next.

I've had a hard time balancing school, work, and life, so I was planning on taking a month off soon and dropping everything possible so I can focus on school. I'm hoping in that month to pass a test every week. Is that a reasonable goal while still working part-time? Is it possible to get more than one test a week done? Are there any particularly quick and/or easy classes y'all would recommend for this?

I'm pretty green, so any thoughts, recommendations or words of wisdom would be wonderful! Smile

  TESC Military Degree Completion Program
Posted by: peacfulchaos2001 - 11-12-2007, 03:21 PM - Forum: Military Discussion - No Replies

Thank you very much. TECEP credits count toward the MDCP the same as OnLine or Guided Study courses. They are TESC credits and all methods of earning credit from TESC count toward the residency, so if you are a good test-taker this is a wonderful opportunity.

Select the potential TECEPs you hope to take and send that list of potential credits here. We will determine of your choices are appropriate for your degree and will respond to you.

This is an email that I just received today. So for all of us that are in the military this can be an easy way to get the 18 hours done for a BA.
