I have been "infatuated" with this subculture of online colleges and testing for about two months now. I took my first test (Here's to Your Health) on November 16, 2007. I finally got my results back today and thanks in large part to you guys I got a 58 on it. I've taken several tests since this one, so the results will be trickling in weekly. I am soldiering in Iraq right now, so these tests help to keep my mind occupied. Thanks everybody.

I am scheduled to take the ECE OB exam next week. I took the first practice test that ECE offers, for a fee of course, and answered 71 of 100 questions correctly. I think that is good, but what grade would that equate to, if anyone knows. I believe ECE uses scaled scoring just as CLEP and DSST exams do, but I have no idea how good answering 71 of 100 questions is.

I took Principles of Marketing using only the questions in the complete Clep Study Guide and using the Sparks Chart for Marketing. I spent about 3 hours on it and got a 55. I'm studying Principles of Management and the IC test is really hard. I talked to my daughter who had taken it and she said all she did was the study Sparks Chart and the question in the study guide and she had no problem passing it. Anybody have any advice cause I'm totally lost with the IC test. Thanks!

Here's my question: Did anybody argue successfully with EC about getting upper level credit for a course that according to EC is lower level?
Let me clarify: I took a class at a Community College in Ohio which several reknowned universities like Case Western and Ohio State would grant ULs. These universities consider it a 300 level course. When I asked Excelsior, I was told that they never grant UL to courses taken at the community college level.
So, I wonder if any of you had this issue before and, if so, where you able to get the ULs?
I didn't want to raise this issue before due to a lack of time. I was focusing on the next test instead of arguing with them. However, now that I have to slow down for the holidays, I wonder if there's anything that I can do.
Thank you in advance for any advise.

I want to take an English CLEP because that seems to be my strong suit. I used the IC flashcards and got all of them correct. I would venture to say that my essay skills are relatively good, but it has been awhile :p . Which test do you guys recommend for me? I know that I only need 6 credits in English. Also, does anyone have an opinion about the actual test questions vs. the IC flashcards? Is it fair to presume that if one does well with the material on the IC flashcards, that they would also perform well on the actual CLEP? This will be my first exam and I really want to do well on it!

Team InstantCert,
I ran thru the PDS from FEMA. Took me about a good day. Then, it hit me!
If you have the FEMA answers written down to any of the 55+ FEMA courses. Please share them with the team...studying purposes only.

I applied for the ASPSS in Emergency Manangement more than six weeks ago. I just received my degree audit from TESC. It says I need 33 SH. They only gave me credit for 9 of my 31 FEMA courses. Has anyone else on this forum applied for the ASPSS and not received credit for FEMA courses?
I have 31 FEMA courses, 3 NFA courses, 12 PONSI credits for the NYC Fire Academy, 15 credits for Clep exams, and 9 credits for DANTES/DSST exams.
