Hi All - First time poster. Thanks in advance for help. I'm trying to help my hubby put together a degree plan to finally get his bachelors. He has past credit (off & on & some from 10+ years ago) that's scattered so he'd really like to make as much of it count as possible so he can finish his degree as quick as he can. Hoping to test out of as much as possible too so he can work quickly (and cheaply). I know there are a lot of different options but given his interests and his past credits we're not sure if a BSBA or a History degree are going to be best route. Open to both (or something else you might suggest).

Below are existing credits he has. Crapper that all were through a school on the quarter system at the time so I'm really scratching my head at how they will transfer in. That's really where we could use this forum's help!!! (everything listed below has already been converted into semester hours ... he earned the hours at Univ of Cincinnati who has since converted to semesters so the transcript shows semester hours) - just sucks most classes are in increments of just 2hrs & not 3hrs):

If its possible, I need someone's help with my AKO log-in. My account was deactivated because I didn't log-in for a while, tried to submit a ticket to restore my account and got the following reply:

The state of your account requires that a sponsor be added in order for you to gain access. A sponsor is simply someone who is willing to vouch for your actions within the AKO site. This person must meet the following criteria to be considered a valid sponsor:

• This person must have an AKO account
• Their account must be a full unsponsored account. (Active Army, DA Civilian, National Guard, etc)
• This person cannot be retired or an IRR member (unless you are a family member and listed in their DEERS).

Admittedly not the most patient person in the world. TESC and COSC received my last transcripts on December 24 and of course with the holidays I might not see anything at all until the end of January. In the meantime I'm just twiddling my fingers trying to figure out what I can do to feel like I'm making progress.

So a few questions...

I'm looking on the course offerings and it doesn't look like COSC offers constitutional law this spring and they didn't offer it last fall either. They say the paralegal studies concentration is something you can complete entirely at their school so not sure why they don't offer it either term???? It shows as a co-requisite on the degree requirements page so I don't get it. Charter Oak State College - Paralegal Studies

Also...it looks like I will need a Technology in Law. This is a long shot but is there a test out there for this? The course they offer at my local community college is only 2 credits and I need 3. My other option is to do a lifelong learning credit portfolio but you have to take a class that teaches you how to do that before you can even do the portfolio so it seems like it makes more sense to just take the technology in law class.

Other than the cornerstone and the capstone...I think these are the only two classes I need to complete my BS w/ Paralegal Studies concentration. There is a Global Understanding requirement but I think my farsi courses may cover that or I might have to take a DSST for that - no biggie.

At any rate I'm driving myself crazy waiting for a response that I know is not likely to happen any time soon with the holidays. I MUST find something to keep my mind occupied.

I assume it's a bad idea to enroll until I get the evaluation back from both schools and make a final decision so in the interim...I'm trying to work out required courses in my head.

Is there anyone else in limbo waiting for their credit evaluation?

I'm am glad I found this site. I am not new to forums though. I could use the expertise of some of the members here as you all are more knowledgeable/experienced than myself. After doing research, I decided that I will be transferring to TESC and using CLEP, DSST, SL, etc. to obtain by BSBA in General Management. According to my unofficial transcript and my point of contact at TESC, I will be transferring in 75 credits and have 45 to go. I am attaching the Eval because I am having a heck of a time trying to decipher it. I have included a spread sheet of the credits that I know I need and the best way to get them. Based off of what I have researched here and the wiki degree pages. The below table only accounts for 33 credit hours. What should I do (or go) to get the remaining credits?

Is it feasible to obtain this by June 1st, 2014? At least all 120 credits and be in a position to apply for a degree?

If anyone would like to help me out, I would really appreciate it. I am a veteran so I also have Military Certificates and Schools. I have my EMT-Intermediate, and various Firefighter Certificates. I can provide more information (and a better spread sheet) upon request.

Please help if you can, and thanks again everyone.

I applied to the WGU MBA program last week. I was quickly contacted by an enrollment adviser. After being contacted, I was instructed to contact student services, since I was a former student. Student services informed me that since I was re-enrolling (even though it was for a different program) I would have to fill out a "petition for re-enrollment" form, and pay $100. I declined....exploring other options now.

I know I haven't been on these forums in a long time, but one of my College Plus friends is working on his TESC Liberal Arts Capstone and needs more responses to this survey about public speaking. It will ask some personal questions, but don't worry. All of the info is completely anonymous. None of the questions are mandatory, so if a question doesn't apply to you just skip it. Hello,
I was told today that taking the Chemistry CLEP and Biology CLEP may be a waste of time as colleges will still require a science lab for meeting the general education requirements for at least one of the two courses. Does anyone know if TESC will accept the Chemistry to satisfy the natural science requirement for a Communications major? I'm currently studying for the Chemistry CLEP and have already passed the Biology CLEP. I'm wondering if one of the CLEPS would not transfer the credit if they require you to take the course with a lab instead to avoid duplicating credit. I'm not a student yet, but plan on taking more CLEPS then enrolling next year. Thanks for any help!
