tesu capstone time requirement
#1
Hi i see that on tesu you need to register and then you start the capstone on the 5th of august, you then have 12 weeks to complete it.
my question is can a person complete it faster than 12 weeks and then get the credit?

I don’t believe so, but others will chime in to confirm. You can complete the work ahead of time, but the actual grades and completion won’t be done until the end of the course.

You can work ahead as much as you like. But the TESU courses are not self-paced, so the instructor (who does all the grading) will usually move at the speed of the course. Turning papers in early doesn't help you finish the course any earlier; you won't get your final grade or credit for the course until the week after the course completes.

In my capstone, I was always working ahead. I did this mainly because I wanted some extra buffer space since I was November term so my capstone was right in the middle of the winter holidays and I was concerned that family stuff would distract me. As it happens, they move some stuff around during those days so it wasn't an issue. I didn't have any issues keeping up that pace since the capstone course felt like it was moving in slow motion after having completed so many credits in the months prior via self-study.

In any case, I ended up finishing my final capstone paper about a month early, but it wasn't graded until the last week of the course. I assume all of the teachers are swamped, so you probably can't expect them to move any faster than they already do.

it's a 12 week course so you aren't going to get your grade til after the 12 weeks are over. you can do it faster if you want to but it won't matter

basically what Merlin just said.

Also, you really shouldn't turn in your final paper until you've gotten your comments back on all the previous assignments. For that matter every assignment I did used input from the mentor on the previous ones.
