For those of us who were around long ago when NETC's National Fire Academy three free 1 credit courses were available, this might be interesting to you.
This is regarding the following courses:
Quote:The National Emergency Training Center/National Fire Academy (NFA) offers three free courses that are ACE-recommended for 1 credit each.
- NNFA-0149 - Q0118 - Self-Study Course for Community Safey Educators (1 credit)
- NNFA-0145 - Q0318 - Fire Service Supervision: Self Study (1 credit)
- NNFA-0203 - Q0137 - Hydraulic Calculations for Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Plan Review (1 credit)
These credits were some that many of us had, but then "lost" when ACE transcripts moved to Credly (much like we lost The Institutes and Kaplan PLA).
I've been going back and forth with ACE and FEMA/NETC/NFA folks ever since the Credly switch, and had gotten nowhere. They all claimed it either wasn't possible to issue the badge, or they would point to another department, who in turn would point me back to the department I was just talking to.
Well, couple days ago when this came up in a thread, user carrythenothing pointed out the URL below. After filling it out on Sunday, my badges were issued without hassle this morning!

Thanks, carrythenothing!
I used the "NNFA" number for course number, and the Q number for version number. Not sure if that was the right way to do it, but it worked.
Unfortunately, no such luck with The Institutes, who will not issue badges to non CPCU members, nor Kaplan PLA (now Purdue Global) who will confirm you completed the course but will not issue a badge.

Great news!
I still don't know why they went with Credly instead of something like Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse. It's probably a good thing that this was done now since Pearson is buying Credly. Who knows what a cluster it will become.

The original ACE system seemed to work so well, no idea why they changed it. It was centralized and streamlined to avoid issues like this.
Even if it was too much to maintain for them, I definitely agree with you that they should have moved to a traditional academic transcript service like Parchment. Just a whole mess that could have probably been avoided.

Wow, great find! Thankfully I had an old screenshot of my old ACE transcript otherwise I'd have never known what date I passed it.

If you need the old dates, I believe you can still login to the former ACE transcript system, you just can't send requests for new courses to be added (or have a transcript sent)
Here's where you can login to the old system

Yeah, I got my badges.... You'll get a message from Roxanne indicating you've got two of the three.
Q0137 was evaluated by ACE March 1, 2009 thru August 30, 2013.
So there is no badge to be issued for this class.
Badges has been issued for Q0318 & Q0118.
I did that a couple of months ago when it was first mentioned here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...-to-Credly

Q0137 was the one I never attempted, so I didn't request it. I'll update the initial post.

Agreed - the old ACE system worked perfectly well. I do NOT know why they decided to break something that wasn't broken.
If it was too much to maintain, you'd think they could have just outsourced that portion and paid someone to maintain it. I can't even imagine how it was much trouble, when it was very streamlined. I remember getting courses completed, requested, and posted within hours.

I don't know if it applies to anyone who completed The Institutes' course(s), but Student membership is $20.00 "for full-time undergraduate students working towards or interested in risk management and insurance careers, and who have not yet been employed in the industry."
