i'm studying for this clep with the ic flashcards. i'm afraid it's not enough so I got the REA book-but the only version they had was the 2005 one. Is it completely different from most recent one? should i bother studying from it? thanx

All I used was the IC flashcards for 7 hours a day for two days for a total of 14 hours. I passed but my score wasnt the highest. I really didnt feel confident going into the test either, but it was the the third CLEP I had studied for and taken within a 9 day period and I was just tired of studying. Plus, it was literally the last time I would be able to take it for free so that also motivated me to take it with so little time studying.
I've heard other people say that not a whole lot has changed in sociology, so I think you should be fine with the 2005 book.
Cleps Passed:
Information Systems & Computer Applications - 64
Spanish - 58
Analyzing & Interpreting Lit - 71
Principles of Macroeconomics - 53
Principles of Microeconomics - 61
Introductory Sociology - 54
Calculus - 51
Biology - 67

Youll be fine. All the terms and theories are the same. Maybe take a looksie at more recent poverty rates and demographics and youre in business.

This is a pretty easy CLEP, and the old REA guide should still be useful. If you don't already have it, get the Official CLEP Study Guide - it has a great practice test in it. If you'd like, I can PM you a specific list of things to know for this CLEP. Additionally, I posted resources and thoughts on this test near the top of this post --->
