I used the following three resources for the CLEP Introductory Psychology exam and scored a 71:
1) REA CLEP Introductory Psychology (2nd Edition)
2) Crash Course Psychology (youtube videos)
3) Online CollegeBoard CLEP Introductory Psychology practice exam questions (
http://hiteducation.org/files/pla/clep-t...hology.pdf)
I had little background in psychology prior to taking the exam, studied about three or four hours per day for two weeks by reading the REA book, creating flashcards of important definitions and memorizing them, and looking up information from the online CollegeBoard practice CLEP questions not covered by either the REA book nor the crash course videos stated above. I thought that this CLEP exam was fairly easy.
The three sources stated above, if studied in detail, are sufficient for you to receive a very high score.
If you are aiming for a perfect score, other supplements are recommended.
Good luck!
Sincerely,
Paul Choe

I have done a few of the easier CLEPS - has anyone with NO background (like me) been able to pass the Psych CLEPutilizing these methods? also, if I join IC, can I pass the test using just IC, or do i need the REA book also?

I haven't taken this test, but a friend of mine took it without any studying ( military pays for them so he doesn't care) and scored in the mid 60s. It is doable

Not to resurrect an old thread (

), but guys, check that pdf Paul Choe linked to.
Page 21 has all the info on how many questions you need to get right to get X CLEP score!!
Here's the link:

And if you're not taking Psychology, here's a link to all the information for other tests:
http://hiteducation.org/files/pla/clep-tests/
It might be outdated (it says 2013-14 on the front), but this looks quite cool. Check it out!
