im postponing my test
#1
i was all set to take my information systems and comp applications when i decided to take a peek at the petersons test. im fairly new at this and i really didn't know about all of these resources. well long story short. i did really well on the IC flashcards and on The college network workbook but i took the petersons and i felt really lost im a really good guesser so i got 74 correct on the first test but i flopped really bad on the second only 40 right and who knows how many were guesses. my confidence level went to the floor. im calling redlands to postpone my test that i had scheduled on wed. i was really hoping to get this test behind me because i really HATE this subject but i want to be really sure. is it true that this petersons test site is really harder than the clep

Generally speaking, most people, including me, have found that to be true. Just make sure you know the material you have studied well and go take the test. You should take it up in Santa Clarita, though. The Master's College has a beautiful campus and it should be closer for you.

I think that you are probably ready if you scored a 74 on your first Petersons. I passed that CLEP with a 61 and I was only scoring 50-mid60's on the Petersons before I took it. Good luck!
Passed:
Humanities CLEP 62
Information Systems and Computer Applications CLEP 61
Principals of Macroeconomics CLEP 51
Ethics in America DSST 443
Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union 46 - Not enough for Jacksonville

I second that suggestion. I'd say go ahead and give it a try. You still have a few days- take the third Peterson's and simply use these last couple days to really hammer in the basics. Look up terms you may not know. OF COURSE there is always a few odd ball questions, you are not expected to become an expert in this subject- simply to know as much as a "C" student would at the completion of the course. If you have a good handle on the basics, you will do fine!

TAKE IT! I consistently find Peterson's to be MUCH more difficult than any of the actual CLEPs have been.

When I took this test it was harder than the college network sample test but not as difficult as the Peterson's. I only had 50's on the Peterson's tests but scored a 65 on the clep. Just go over the Peterson's another time and you will probably be fine. Good luck
