Thanks for the advice dposborne. I already bought two ASVAB study guides, but he was still having trouble with the math. I'm having him do the Basic Algebra on ALEKS to get a lot more practice, and many of the questions on the ASVAB actually are very basic algebra questions.

My son has trouble with basic algebra too, in spite of using ALEKS. I actually went back to Khan, which is what we did before ALEKS and found that they really beefed up that site. I think you could use Khan too, I've been happy with the results, and you can just work on weaknesses instead of being forced to work on certain topics as with ALEKS.
