Our first graduate degree program, the Masters in Theological Studies, is scheduled to begin in September, 2015.

I wonder if they'll remain free if and when they become accredited. I'm still holding out hope for Nations University. Yes, I know they charge a $480 fee.

I can't say for sure, but it seems as though Pilgrim school is unaccredited but many (or all) of the classes/exams they're planning to offer are eligible for credit through NCCRS. Those who pursue a degree (eventually) will get an unaccredited degree but the individual classes can be transferred to colleges that accept NCCRS credit.

This is my first time hearing about Nations, will do a google search. Does Nations offer credit through ACE or NCCRS?

No, they don't. They are in the process of attaining DETC accreditation.

Where did you get these dates from? I'm reading September 2015 when the school opens, and 2016 when they offer the Masters.

I got it from here but I'm guessing this info is old now. Pilgrim Theological Seminary

Maybe they're trying to take on too much? Lots of other small institutions start with a few classes. Maybe that would help them. Has anyone ever spoken to anyone at Pilgrim? Or received email or other correspondence from them?

I'm also wondering how they are able to credit through NCCRS if the classes are not yet established. It is somewhat confusing. I thought NCCRS and ACE reviewed course structure, content, etc. before adding them to their database.

I could have this wrong, but I thought they were already offering exams that are NCCRS-approved. These seem to be different from the courses that they will be offering for their degree programs.

I don't think you're wrong. I remembered seeing that listing somewhere but I have started getting these places confused. I know Pilgrim goes on donations & volunteers. But that is not the case with many of these organizations. Yet their websites are confusing. It's hard to get information. So glad I have you all to share info. Looking at Pilgrim's site again, I see those exams that are listed on the NCCRS website are also titles of classes offered in their upcoming degree program.

Sanantone, to your knowledge has anyone here actually taken any of Pilgrim's exams? It is worth my time to dig a little deeper because those exams would be very useful to me.
