easiest self paced RA courses

I have a friend who is almost done with their bachelors at a public state university. Only two semesters left and they will graduate. They are burnt out from school and just want to be done! Problem is the final semester they need to take an insane of amount of credits (I think around 20 credits) to graduate. Thing is most of these a just free electives to get to 120 credits required for a bachelor's.

They have don't want to switch schools, majors or take an extra semester to graduate.

So I'm trying to help my friend maybe take some self paced RA credits to use as free electives to save them time, money and stress. Maybe take about 9 credits (3 courses) from a self paced RA just to make things less stressful the final semester.

So my question is which self paced RA option (asu, tell, etc) is the least amount of work and the easiest. They told me they don't care aboit the electives they just want to be done. Litterly the easiest free electives possible can be anything.

They grew up Christian I'm wondering if maybe the Christianity courses in tel learning are easy. Any experience there?

I know clep and ace and all that exist but given the situation RA credit is the only option I'm pursuing here. Do not suggest anything not RA credit.

Make sure friend check with advisor and registrar for transfer policies when in final two semesters. Some places may have policy that the final 30 credits at in residence at university and no more transferring in of credits is permitted. example: Family member of mine had to get that last transfer credit done before she was a senior or university would not accept it. That college could be the one out there like that or that could be common.

After that, does the credit HAVE to be RA? Will the school accept CLEP or DSST? How about a TECEP or UExcel exam?

After that, I'm going to say that TEL and/or ONU will be the best bets. Both have multiple religion courses that might be easy for your friend:

Yes I already know all that about transfer. Thing is I got a degree and same school and transferred in credit my final semester that I took during that final semsester. Im very familiar with school polices and can work things out.

School accepts some clep and dsst. My friend is not a good test taker and I told them about Clep but said no.
Too much pressure on a single exam for them.

The school does accept ace and nccrs (or at least they claim to) but it is basically impossible to get it accepted. You have to provide all sorts of documentation, paperwork and communication with deans. I tried with my ace and gave up. (It might have worked I just didn't feel like meeting with the dean and filling out mountains of paperwork).

RA credit one the other hand is super easy to get accepted and the school is in transferology and is accurate.

My friend also knows nothing about alt credit is kind of skeptical about it. I just think given the situation RA makes the most sense.

The few remaining required courses they are taking at the school.


What is left is I think about 12 credits worth of free electives which littlerly can be anything. Just needs remaining credits to equal 120 for a bachelors. I checked it can be even 100 level.

And no it has to be RA. Friend doesn't like the idea of clep or dsst. And ACE might not be accepted and even if it is it would take a lot of work to make it happen. Transferring RA credit is painless.

I just want to know what is the easiest possible self paced RA credit for full free electives. Low stress is key. Any subject.

Absolute EASIEST RA credit? ASU. Hands down. The ones that I've completed were great in that regard. They're not self-paced (the ones I did), but they were fun and not at all complicated. Check out https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...UIdaho-etc for reviews.

ASU's BIO-100 and SES-106 are self-paced options (possibly with a time limit). They do require at least 1-2 hours per day of work to complete in a timely manner. But they're not exactly difficult, there are just a number of quiz-like activities that need to be completed in each section.

Of the non-self-paced options, the next start date is January 11. Of the courses starting then, I would suggest: ASM-246 and CIS-105. ASM-246 is a bit tricky because you have to remember the Latin names for the different species, but I was rubbish at remembering which species was what and I still got a good grade. Probably not astronomy unless your friend is VERY comfortable with math and/or is okay with only getting a C.

ONU courses are also pretty easy (relatively speaking) but they are still time-consuming to get through. I do not really suggest ONU's Christianity courses because they are MUCH heavier than other courses. There is a lot of reading involved. Familiarity with Christianity may not help. MTH-117 is literally the shortest ONU course. If your friend is at least passable with Algebra, they should be able to breeze through this relatively quickly.

I would NOT recommend TEL because each course has TWO proctored exams, and you said that your friend is not a good test taker.

ASU has an Intro to Health and Wellness and it is not self paced but it is sooo  easy. Astronomy was hard for me! It had difficult math equations. I took the self paced English but it was very time consuming!!  I wouldn't recommend that at all.
Also if the person knows Spanish really well by chance, then I'd recommend they take the Spanish Uexcel exam because it's worth 6 credits.

My family member could not stand SES 106 and dropped it. After the intro section, it felt like the early parts were just do some math to move forward in the class and not learn anything. jch's review had a better experience. Same family member did fine with Bio 100 and jch's review pretty much reflects my family member experience. course seem time consuming, but the set up is to allow student to pass and get the grade they want to earn even if you redo the lesson and just take notes to get it right the next time. Some people see the do-overs as not being a real class. others see it as how else will you learn in a self paced class without a textbook or lectures? some units were dull. final unit with the get the crew to Mars was kinda fun. RA credit through ASU. don't know if your friend already has a 100 level biology for non majors. my family member did a unit per week with about 1.5 hours a day on several days a week. wasn't rushed.

ps: another quick RA credit is from U of Memphis with one of those "global campus" options. silly name for the free version Adulting 101 (it's applied personal finance). But that's not what it is called on the paid version for credit. I'm blanking on the real title that shows up, but it was under a Marketing kind of elective name and numbering. No: it was MRCH (Merchandising) 4300 Family Resource Management.

Your friend would need to talk directly with them to see if options for enrolling for that situation. it may not be cost effective and I don't know if it is "on demand" or with start times.
