"Easiest" (Low math) UMPI Business Degree or other FAST Degree
#11
There are various degree plans, posts, threads, and WIKI detailing the requirements for UMPI. I would fill in the addendum and template to provide more details for members and readers to see the full picture of his particular situation. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

Once that is done, you can decide which degree plan meets your needs, I usually recommend a balanced mix/match trifecta of certs, degree, experience. You may want to review this thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...on-to-MOAL

Thank you.   Yes we are scrambling now to figure out what credits he actually has.   We know he has some 25+ year old community college credit and some CLEP/DSST credit that he took with me back when I was test-taking, so we have some homework to do on Monday.

I'm still getting used to the new format with everything so well-organized.  Back when I was more active on the forum, everyone just posted their spreadsheets.  It's so impressive now with all these links, but it's a bit more confusing to me too.

I have a feeling I'll be hanging out here a lot more over the next few weeks.    We're also hoping we'll get some quick responses to figure out how much existing credit he actually has so we can better plan an existing degree plan.   In the meanwhile, he's already started Sophia Spanish I because we are certain he doesn't have that one.

Thanks so much!  I also really hope that I can be helpful to someone in some weird way too... my experience is so darn old I doubt it, but who knows?

They're not going to tell you anything we can't tell you. They're not going to encourage someone to take a ton of ACE credits then transfer. They won't tell you which courses to complete outside of UMPI.

Just apply today and send the transcripts over. Applying is free. It takes a few months for the application process to be finalized. Apply for Fall 1 before it's too late. Typically they process transcripts based on which term you've applied for so if he applies for Fall 2 he'll be waiting even longer for a transcript evaluation. Once the transcript evaluation is complete then he can defer enrolling by a term or 2. In the meantime, he can work on Sophia classes for things he knows he doesn't have but will need.

I didn't realize it would take a few months to finalize the application process, so this is great info.   He did already start Sophia as of yesterday shortly after I started posting.   He is MOTIVATED.    Thank you.

Yeah the entire application and transcript evaluation process can take 2-3 months depending on how busy they are. YourPace has been exploding in growth due to social media and UMPI has struggled to keep up with the growth. No one expected enrollment to double in 1 semester.
