Is anyone currently taking or will be entering into the ASBSN program at TESU? My plan is for the Fall of 2023.
I have MANY credits between Sophia and Study.com. I am in the process of finishing a few with Study.com to shorten the course load. I will even be receiving my BOG A.A.S with another community college in May of 2023.
Can anyone share there experiences transferring credits to TESU for this specific program? My goal is to take all pre-requisite courses so that I can focus on the nursing courses more so.
I want to make the most out of Study.com before ending my membership.
Please let me know

This one? https://tesu.smartcatalogiq.com/Current/...SN-Program
I can't remember anyone going for this one in a while. It's discussed every so often, but I think most wind up choosing WGU. That doesn't make TESU a bad choice, but it does mean that you may not get much specific feedback for this particular program.
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

It's the accelerated nursing program at TESU. Unfortunately, I live in NJ and WGU isn't an option for me due to the clinical component. If WGU had a NJ option, I would have applied for that instead. Chamberlain has an accelerated nursing program in NJ as well BUT it is WAY more expensive. TESU is a state school and Chamberlain is not since it's "like a" franchise. They have locations all over the US. All community colleges in NJ will not accept Sophia or Study.com (ACE) credits unfortunately. I have tried. I won't retake these courses since I spent A LOT of time completing them. PLUS it's a waste of money. I probably saved thousands by now.
Maybe there are other colleges I am unaware of that can transfer ACE credits in NJ.

So it's going to be the same as transferring into another program, and Sophia & Study.com has a list of what transfers in as what. Unfortunately, TESU doesn't seem to take SDC's A&P I & II w/Lab courses which is a big bummer; so take those at Straighterline, TESU accepts both.
Take Intro to Psych & Developmental Psych if you haven't already.
Not sure if Gen Chem is required or not, so you need to find out; unfortunately, neither SDC nor SL's Chem courses (even with labs) comes in as CHEM-111 (they both come in as CHEM-101), but I'd ask about that specifically.
I'd also ask about Microbiology, SDC and SL both have that, and both come in as BIO-251, but SDC doesn't have a lab, and SL's lab is questionable. SDC also has BIO 107L: Clinical Microbiology w/Lab, but it doesn't look like TESU takes it. TESU doesn't have the standalone lab. So you may have to take it at Portage Learning ($223/cr) or a CC if you can find one.
Other than that, I think you can just follow the regular path for the GE coursework.

I’d ask a lot of questions, because the FAQ says. “ The credit by examination option is not available for the following prerequisite courses:
- Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab
- Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab
- Chemistry
- Microbiology with Lab
- Statistics
These must be taken as classes and have grades from regionally accredited institutions.” (Emphasis added)

I did not look closely at that page.
So, if they want RA graded credit for these, then your best bet is either:
a) an inexpensive CC in your state (although they will have pre-reqs that you may not have met, and the sequence may not be done before next fall)
b) Dine' College (although they will have pre-reqs that you may not have met, and the sequence looks like it will not be done before next fall)
c) Portage Learning transcripted through Geneva College - but I've heard that TESU won't take these (one person on the forum said this, but it's unclear, and I would question TESU about it if you wanted to go this way)
d) another RA school that will allow you to take these courses as self-paced, such as UNE, Doane, etc.

Most programs, require the butt-in-seat options for the health related professions... Including TESU, this is a requirement, most likely from the state, not the college. You can check for online programs and see which ones outside of the state would work for NJ licensing. Do your due diligence and research/verify before going any route...
