Hello,
I was told today that taking the Chemistry CLEP and Biology CLEP may be a waste of time as colleges will still require a science lab for meeting the general education requirements for at least one of the two courses. Does anyone know if TESC will accept the Chemistry to satisfy the natural science requirement for a Communications major? I'm currently studying for the Chemistry CLEP and have already passed the Biology CLEP. I'm wondering if one of the CLEPS would not transfer the credit if they require you to take the course with a lab instead to avoid duplicating credit. I'm not a student yet, but plan on taking more CLEPS then enrolling next year. Thanks for any help!

Only a few of TESC's degrees require a lab. These are usually STEM-related degrees, and the degree plan will say a lab is required. For communications, a lab is not required. You certainly are choosing difficult tests just to meet the science requirements for a communications degree. The Chemistry CLEP just might be the hardest out there.
Sort of off topic, but many schools actually give lab credits for some CLEPs and DSSTs, TESC does not.

Thank you for the clarification! I'm just taking the CLEPS that match my high school courses that I'm currently going through for efficiency sake
Thank you so much for helping to clear my confusion on that.

Yes, chem is one of the hardest tests. I took it a few months after finishing my high school chem class and failed by 1 point
but TESC took half of my College Mathmatics to count for the requirement in Science (don't know why), but that might be an easier option.
