Heya!

eeya:
Please do not be rude. It's just a question. I'm already a TESC student and I was attracted to them for a number of reasons. I'm very excited about my journey with them. I have been reading some threads that show diploma frames and took a glance at the ones for COSC, TESC and Excelsior. All three were very nice, but I don't understand why TESC doesn't actually write out the major on your diploma, just like Excelsior and almost every other college out there does.
I guess what I am asking is, is there a reason for this? Are they trying to save ink? Is there some kind of catch 22 or loophole that disallows them to do so? I'll be thrilled once I complete my Bachelors and yes, I realize my employers are only interested in my transcript, but for my own personal sake, I will be framing my diploma and hanging it on my wall and I can't lie, I would love (a little bit more) if it stated my actual major as well. Couldn't hurt eh?:patriot:

It's just a question and I stated it in my first few sentences. Why does it bother you that I ask? It's a simple question and I don't understand why it cannot be answered..not just by you, but in general. Maybe I will just call up TESC and ask them.

If you want to teach English in Asian countries (possibly others too), they want a copy of your diploma. Having "English Major" written on it gives you the pay grade bump. Transcripts aren't really looked at.
Why COSC and TESC don't print the major I'm not sure. For me, that was the deciding factor between a college with a better sounding name (COSC/TESC) or one that listed the major on my diploma (Excelsior).

That sounds like a good idea.

I tried to answer the question in greater detail on the same thread. If it still doesn't make sense to you maybe an advisor could explain better.

Thanks! I'll admit that for me, it's more of a vain thing. I feel like I earned the major, so why can't it be on display in my living room ya know? Haha.

i think if you're really desperate you could just photoshop the major in, and have it reprinted somehow...i mean, you've earned it, right
