Which is easier: Western Civ I or Western Civ II?

Hi,

I need literally 1 credit hour in Global Issues to graduate from Regis University and am looking for the easiest possible way out.

I had signed up to take the Human/Cultural Geography test but IC doesn't appear to have any flash cards for that test...which is a bummer as IC has been my lifeline thus far. SO...

I've decided to change the test I'm taking to something IC offers but can't decide between Western Civ I or Western Civ II.

Or is there another known Global Issues (Regis) test that's easier?

I've seen higher scores on Western Civ I, but it depends on your prior knowledge. I see that you've taken Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union. If you have a lot more knowledge about the lasts couple centuries, you may find it easier than studying all the ones prior to them.

REA also has guides for both tests. They're on my shelf waiting for me.

I just took Western Civ 1 a few weeks ago, and was pleasantly suprised as the high score I got. The REA guide was excellent preparation for this test, so if you read it carefully and study all your missed answers on the practice test, you should be fine. I'm studying for Western Civ 2 right now, and my sister's planning to take this test within a week. I'll let you know her feedback on this one if you would like. Because Western Civ 2 covers a smaller time span it might be easier, but I hesitate to recommend it because I haven't taken it. However, even though Western Civ 1 covers thousands of years, the questions asked were a little more general, and if you really study the REA book, you should be able to make educated guesses on everything you don't know. I would recommend looking through some practice tests for both Western Civ 1 & 2, and decide between them based on the content covered and your prior knowledge and interst.

I found Western Civ I far easier - but I screwed up on II because I thought a plurality of questions would be on the Napoleonic era (really strong on that) rather than Otto Von Bismark and late Victorian politics (isn't Bismark in North Dakota?).

Frankly, if I were you I'd go for Western Europe since 1945. If you know the Soviet Union that well, you should be pretty good on how the countries West of the Iron Curtain played out.

Of the ones you've mentioned, Geography strikes me as the easiest - by FAR. But your mileage may vary.

Regis gives us quite a few choices, which is nice!
