Hi Everyone,
Last week TESU told me that the
History of the Soviet Union DSST is no longer accepted for Non-Western requirement. I was told that the following 2 classes are accepted;
African History and Culture (TESU HIS-301)
The Middle East (TESU HIS-310)
Does anyone know where I can get these classes outside of TESU or are there any other classes that will fulfil the Non-Western History requirement at TESU?
As always thank you for your help!
sorry everyone I just realized this post is in GE area! I'll repost this on the other area...apologies!

I already posted on your other thread (
https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ELP--36580 ) but I'll include here to avoid confusion
"I am not sure that this response from TESU is correct. I have the non-western slot planned with the "History of the Soviet Union" DSST in the system right now. I took the test last month but the results are still "in the mail" from DSST.
This may have been an issue because the DSST accreditation from ACE was showing expired for the last 2 months. I called and spoke to DSST multiple times because ACE showed that this test expired on October 30th 2020. However, I just noticed this morning that the test has been updated to expire on January 31st 2021 (now showing on the ACE website). From talking to DSST, I believe that they are pursuing the longer renewal but it is taking time due to Covid-19.
I am hopeful that you received that response because TESU was unwilling to accept the credit when it was expired. I would hypothesize that they would still accept a DSST when it is during the accredited period."

This has already been covered in the above-linked thread but, for those who stumble across this thread in the future and who don't want to worry about dealing with the DSST renewal, there are a handful of options from BYU that are (slightly) cheaper than TESU:

In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA
Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210
