Hi,
I was wondering if one of these two degrees is probably the degree with the least writing at UMPI Your Pace?
Also, is there a list of the types of assignments for each course? Like if they're essays, projects, etc. For all Your Pace courses, or even just for the Accounting or Management minor courses.
Technically would the fastest thing be to choose whichever minor has the most courses that transfer from Sophia or Study.com? I.e. the only difference between the BLS minors is the 18 credits you take. And can all those be taken at Sophia or Study.com?
Thanks!!

Basically... UMPI BLS degrees are the same, the minor is the only difference, some like to have more than one minor and also take the 3-4 classes that go towards the MAOL. The reason is you need 30 credits residency, a minor is only 18 credits, and the 4 classes are 12, thus, you get ahead if you want to do the MAOL later.
You can only transfer in all the requirements for the minor, if it's the second minor of your choice. For a BLS, you need to have specific UL credits completed at UMPI, thus - for those minors who don't have 9 UL, you also need a second minor! Regulations or rules can't be bent, this is for all degrees at UMPI. Having said that, the BLS is the most flexible option of transfers, you've got 60 electives of anything.
Here's a read that informs you the four components required for the BAS/BLS, there are slight differences between the two requirements... It's not going to go into the differences, that's another thread post elsewhere, you most likely don't have an AAS to get the BAS, so I'm skipping that post link until later, if needed. BTW, are you still planning on completing the TESU BACS degree you mentioned in your previous thread here? Interesting indeed... https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...d-transfer

Hi Bjcheung77!
I never did the TESU program, I ended up starting another program in the US. But... I withdrew after my goals changed.
I'm now just looking for the fastest bachelor degree I can get in anything, ideally at a good price too, and that awards grades (i.e. not WGU). UMPI seems like maybe the best choice. But I also thought that SNHU might be faster because I think it has more projects and fewer essays? But I think it's a lot more expensive.
Thanks for all your help!

I'm currently working on the BLS in accounting and Business Admin (dual minor)
Do not assume the finals are quick or easy just because they may be less writing. Some of these accounting ones are for example a 12 tab excel file that is blank and
you have to basicallly fully create the layout of each task and then do all the calculations and such. These can be very time consuming compared to just a several page ms word file
Another one can be a mix of writing out multi step responses. for example its say maybe 15 questions but each of those questions has 4 - 10 sections in it. Some of these finals are "bigger" than I could have expected.
Hope that helps

It's the nature of accounting courses. They're not easy. They're not meant to be easy especially UL courses.
