What Is Your Process for Learning Math Online?

After I failed the 5th milestone of Sophia Stats, I realized I had to rethink how I was learning math online. I eventually passed the course after redoing my studying method. 

In high school, usually, there are many examples of problems to solve, making sure you memorize the concept. However, for these ACE courses, it seems like there are only a few examples after which you are supposed to know the concept. Or worse, sometimes they seem to introduce too many math concepts simultaneously.

Does anyone care to share their methods for learning math online?

You can try supplementing with another resource like Khan academy. That's what I've done in the past.

On Sophia some of the videos are really helpful. Some topics like Environmental Science I just read the text. College Algebra I watched every single video form Anthony. I would pause and rewind them and watch them over and over until I understood how he got from point a to point b. I wrote out every problem and did them all on paper with a pencil. I kind of felt like I was in elementary school but I understood it and could solve the problems on the exams and had lots of time left over which was awesome. I've always struggled with math so Sophia was a dream for me.

For the stats class I just read the text. I watched a few videos but found them to be more confusing. My husband is a math whiz. We completed stats at the same time so he helped me when I would get stuck. Stats is such an odd math class. It's like math and science together.

Before you spring for books, check to see if your library/school of choice gives you free access to LearningExpressHub.com. I know TESU gives access https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...U-students and I think I saw it as a local library resource once, but I don't know about where else to get access. Several books for learning various levels of math, including sample problems/exercises.

For calculus, I used a reverse engineering technique where I would get the sample problems wrong on purpose by leaving answers blank, then go back and do the problems once I could see all the correct answers with the steps to solve.

I did this because I was spending too much time trying to solve problems, I would solve problems using the wrong methods for multiple questions, and a few times, I would get lucky on a guess but honestly didn't understand what I was doing.

And every single question, I would make notes which questions I knew how to solve and which I didn't. I would also keep detailed notes on every single math concept.
