Yes WVUP does accept it and WVNCC does not. They only accept English Comp 1 and English Comp 2. No Clep.

Thanks for the update. Too bad WVNCC doesn't accept the CLEP College Comp. for the 6 credits.

It is too bad, but at least they are giving fair warning.

With the Guardian scholarship from Study.com, you could complete Comp I and Comp II for free, along with Personal Finance and two more classes. Straighterline also offers Comp I and Comp II.

If I already have a Bachelor. Will West Virginia Northern CC transfer the core courses from there and then allow me to transfer only the concentration
courses as new ( I am just hoping that somebody on the forum had this experience).

Admission Requirements
Students are eligible for admission to the program two years after high school graduation. Students must not hold a degree from an accredited institution nor be enrolled simultaneously in another degree program. See the Admissions Checklist for details. If this is just the beginning for you and you plan to continue your education, this degree is a pathway into our Regents Bachelor or Arts Degree.

Interesting, the wvncc says the following:

Admission Requirements: Students are eligible for admission to the program two years after graduation from high school. In case of those passing a high school equivalency examination, admission must be two years after their high school class has graduated.

Any idea if they'll accept Principles of Advanced English Composition DSST for English Comp 2?

LxJxG, if you call them to ask, would you mind asking about whether the new DSST Liberal Arts Math would count toward the math/science requirement? Many thanks!

Anyone know if they'll accept FEMA? My oldest son has 9 FEMA on his ACE transcript. He actually has everything they want except for electives, which I think I can convince him to do through SL - I'm just working out the cost, so those 9 credits make a difference!

I haven't contacted WVNCC about it, but WVUP and Blue Ridge would not accept FEMA for their BoG AAS programs. Everything had to be on an ACE or regular college transcript.
