I wish there was a website just like theirs but truly does live up to their word. I mean who wouldnt want someone to help them step by step for a clep exam. I personally I have never taken a clep or dsst but thought about it a couple of times. I am trying to get my wife to start on clep by this July. She is trying to earn her GED with the help of Instantcert.com. and Peterson. We are trying to get that out of the way first and then take a stab at CLEP and DSST. Any feedback would be great.

I don't think you should pay money for anything other than textbooks (including reputable CLEP prep books like REA) or DVDs like Standard Deviants, and sometimes also practice questions at well-known sites like InstantCert and Peterson's. I know the thought of there being a one-stop shop for a complete outline of what exactly you should study is a seductive one, but think of it this way:

First, no one can afford to make a promise like that, and if they do, they're lying and it's a red flag to you to RUN.

Second, think of determining what exactly you should be studying as part of the studying experience -- because it is. You're taking the time to figure out for yourself what the key elements of your subject matter are, and then you use books and the Internet to find them. It's like a fun research project that you don't have to write a paper for! After you've gotten a few CLEPs under your belt, you develop a knack for homing in on key elements. Pay close attention to the College Board's official test outlines; they're there for a reason. Use reputable books, DVDs, and Web sites, and seek out ways to fill any gaps you sense in the material you're using. Smile
