I may be a bit late here, but I'm a Walden Alumni Ambassador. Many of these competency-based degrees feature near-continuous 50% off discounts, and this is especially true while they are trying to build up enrollment in new programs. Check old threads here to see what I mean.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to send me a message. Additionally, if you've missed out on tuition reduction opportunities, I can offer anyone who resides in the USA a referral for a 15% tuition discount. I receive nothing at all for this, but I'm happy to help if I can. Enjoy your learning!

Thanks!

Go all the way to the bottom of the page and it lists it.
Right now they are saying for Jan 6th starts only. Don't know if they will offer in Feb. They will get you in for a Jan 6th start date - transcripts have to be in within about 10 days of that. Thank you !!
I found the info and emailed my advisor. I am going to try and get into it. I had started the application process last week so I am thinking it’s fine.
I would love to squeeze this out in 3-6 months. Fingers crossed we will all meet up at the Grad party in June! ?
I would love to do it in 6 months, but my family has had a lot happen in the last year+ I'll be happy if I can do it in 9 months

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun. Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior. And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.

Pretty irritated with Walden, I still don't have my admission approved and it's three days into the term. In addition, because I had applied with them before, they already had my official transcript approved. I talked with them last Wednesday or Thursday and it went to admissions for approval on Friday. Last time they had everything done and approved in 24 hours, so this is disappointing.
I guess the next term starts on February 24th, so hopefully I'll be in that one, at the half price offer. Otherwise, I'll go back to WGU and do the MSML.
Grrrr.

Thanks, but I didn’t need a warning. My issue is the admissions process. I really don’t care about the course work being in progress as I’m not going to accelerate this degree.
It turns out that the delay in admission is because I’ve applied and been accepted to a different Masters program in the past.

I was just accepted to Walden's program and I'm trying to decide what to do now. Originally, I had thought the Tempo MS-Gen Psychology was $1,500-$1,700 per term. However, it is $2,700 now per term. Do you know if anyone has completed this program in two terms? I know one person here who tried to complete it in one term and their own reasons had it done in two. Is it possible to get the coursework done in two terms while working fulltime? Do you know of others who did? I asked enrollment today about statistics of those who go through the program, but she said there isn't enough data to have this type of info. Also, she said since Tempos do not allow Financial Aid (which I don't qualify for anyway), does that also mean scholarships aren't accepted for this program? I know you're an Ambassador and may not have that type of info...but appreciate it anyway.

She said that the stated 50% off is already included in the $2,800 cost. I asked her very specifically about this.

I believe you, but that's confusing. I know a guy who is enrolling in the MS I/O Psych program (not on this forum) who said he enrolled at under $1,500/term

So inconsistent then... I wish I knew why. I would prefer the $1,500 (I was going to take a credit card out for this). Oh well.
