It's not an actual engineering degree like an ABET program (eg Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical...). Software Engineering, unfortunately is a business degree. It just has "engineering" in the name, but it's not an actual engineering degree. If it's missing Diff Eq, upper division Linear Algebra (the one where you have to do proofs), multivariable calculus (which includes three-dimensional vector calculus), and applied math (Fourier analysis, Laplacian, PDE's), then it's more of a Business or IT degree where the emphasis is in management.

This may be setting the bar a bit high. Here is one example of an ABET degree that doesn't seem to include any of the specific math skills you listed: Program: Software Engineering, B.S. - Florida Tech - Acalog ACMS (fit.edu)
However, falling short of any bar, including ABET, does not change the focus or emphasis of a degree program. This degree is clearly technical, so the graduates will be hired into "software engineer" roles, not "manager" roles.

This degree definitely isn't an emphasis in management. It's meant to prepare you to be job ready to be a C# or Java developer. Essentially it's a coding bootcamp but with the legitimacy of a 4 year degree. Which funnily enough can be gamed to cost less and take less time than a 'traditional' bootcamp.

A degree in Software Engineering sounds much better than a degree in Software Development since it is a pretty common degree name

They made a good move, not only does the Software Engineering sound better than Software Development, but the course changes or updates are more in tune to a degree that I would like to study. So many degrees, so less time, decisions... I'll just stick to my current plans for now...

Does this degree (BSSE) require any "DEI" (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) classes to graduate?
