Yes I just took the dantes exam for Ethics in America...today...it was the hardest exam I ever took....there are no "yes or no questions" nor is there is an essay part either! The whole exam was 100 questions that were mutiple choice! I studied all the ethical theorist and their theories...was of no help!
It seemed that I spent most of my time tying to figure out what the question was asking....not easy!
Not that I didn"t really study...I DID...nothing prepared me for this..not even this site!
This exam was for those who were gifted in the aspect of knowledge.
I did visit this site for some type of help in relation to the test but forget it...there is nothing that will prepare you for this exam! It has totally changed!
Sorry!
Good Luck

wow... that's amazing... I took this 18 days ago and I didn't have anywhere near this experience! I thought it was pretty easy and I studied with nothing more than the IC flashcards for about 2 hours per day x 3 days.

Have you taken any other Dantes? I have taken 3 and they were all only multiple choice questions. I have always left the test thinking I failed but I have always passed with room to spare. Remember you only have to get the equivalent of C to pass. Good Luck

Linda, this definitely was a test that had 'yes' or 'no' answers when I took it just a few weeks ago. It wasn't your standard DSST exam. The last question was a confusing looking essay (which I just skipped, as I was told to do by TESC advisors). Apparently, the test has gone through a revamping.

I took the paper version in '07 because I heard it was a tough exam and I didn't want to be constrained by time limits.
The paper one was a lot of yes/no and true/false when I took it.
The possible changes to exams are one reason you should study the material enough to be ready for anything whenever you possibly can; you might run into situations where cramming and IC just won't be enough.
Potential surprises are a secondary reason why I try to read at least one text before taking an exam. The primary reason is I can satisfactorily say to doubters (of the credit by exam methodology) that I read and studied for the exam and passed it by virtue of actual retained knowledge on the subject.

I did not "cram"...I obtained alot of information for this exam from many different sources. I have also had philosphy and nursing ehtics so I am no stranger to this subject. I too took the paper version...I was happy about not having to do the written portion...but did that quickly change about the 10th question into the test. I feel so disappointed...this is the last credit I needed for my BSN but I may have to take a summer class
