Also the problem with the school is leadership being stuck in 2005. Nobody gives out diplomas at graduation anymore. The school moved graduation from the normal May to late August again this year due to Covid and held graduates in some ways hostage as those in cohorts that finished earlier than August were forced to wait. Making it even worse the school promised those who didn't attend but paid fees that diplomas and regalia would be mailed within two weeks after commencement but of coursethat didn't happen. Somehow the university screwed up and either didn't order enough regalia to cover three cohorts or got cheap and is now not committed to send out as promised. Diplomas also have been delayed due to printing errors from those attending graduation. The school is promising to get everyone a replacement diploma by the end of the month as well as diplomas to those still waiting. So again the main problem with the school is with the administration being understaffed and at times non responsive. I still wonder how they even attract undergraduates as the website is a mess which only adds to confusion.(10-13-2022, 03:14 PM)sanantone Wrote: Wow! The most important thing is receiving the transcript that says the doctorate was completed, but I'd be angry if I didn't also receive my diploma almost a year after graduating. I also found out that, if you don’t have financial aid set up, they require you to make your first installment payment before sending a letter of acceptance. That's very...unorthodox. I've attended many schools and was never required to make a payment or show proof of having financial aid before being officially informed that I was accepted.
Pay before you're accepted? What? What's there to pay? That makes no sense at all. That is really shady right there. The more I read about this place, the more questions I have. I'm so glad I crossed it off my list early on. I wasn't thrilled with NA and a religious accreditation. Seems like they really area in financial trouble. Might be best to close the doors and save what little dignity they have left.
Overall the DHA program itself while far from perfect is solid and does a good job covering topics built around organizational leadership in healthcare. Its the administration that unfortunately is holding back VUL in many facets. Hopefully things will get better as the school has some financial stability now. The mindset has to change as they want to be a player in online learning space but still act like a brick and mortar school from 1990.
