Hello everyone. I need help finding 4 more classes to fulfill my goal of transferring 90 credits before I start at UMPI in May. I mostly need upper level electives and American Government. Maybe business law at Sophia? American Government at instantcert? Can anyone give me any other suggestions? Thank you.

Sorry I forgot to add that. It’s for a Liberal Arts degree with a minor in management. I have mostly everything except
Eng 211 or Hum 103
Bus 260 Leadership
BUS 321 human resource management
Bus 415 operations management
American Government (probably going to take this at Instantcert)
I can choose one of these: (thinking I’ll take business law at Sophia)
Bus 240 change management
Bus 350 business law II
Bus 353 legal and ethical environment of business
Need 8:
300/400 electives

You need to decide what courses you should transfer in and what courses you need to take at UMPI for 30 credit residency, once decided, get the academic advisor to finalize your degree plan. Work on those credits until you're complete, depending how fast you are, it may take a term or two.

American Government is an easy course at UMPI so if you want a easy GPA boost I'd take it UMPI. It took me 3 days to complete.
BUS350 is Business Law 1. You can take Business Law on Sophia and it will transfer in for BUS350.
Most of your ULs have to be completed at UMPI. Study.com has courses you can take to fill some of these. Keep in mind that some Study.com courses have more assignments than UMPI courses. There's just 1 paper, project, or exam at UMPI.

I know this is a bit of an older thread, but I was wondering if UMPI has a requirement for how many UL courses have to be taken through them, or is this just referencing that you have to take at least 30 credits through them.

I’m not exactly sure how many of the 30 units need to be UL to satisfy the residency requirements but I will say that out of the 10 courses/30 units that I just completed in this 8 wk term, the 2 courses that took me the longest and had the lengthiest assignments were LL courses so don’t be afraid of the UL courses at UMPI!

You can be sure moving forward. You need 10 UL courses (30 credits) to qualify for graduation at UMPI. All other LL UMPI courses will not count towards the 10 UL course requirement.
